Thursday Night Football doesn't seem all that interesting because all I can see is some score on the bottom of ESPN! Why is the NFL so reluctant to let 2/3 of all TV viewers to see their games? It doesn't help the NFL's popularity if only 1/3 of America can actually see the great games like Packers vs Cowboys and record breaking season for Tom Brady, Randy Moss, and the Patriots. People want to see these records broken LIVE because they won't see them for years to come, and the NFL doesn't want people to see these games.

Is it so hard to just give contracts to ABC or NBC? They used to do Sunday Night Football and Saturday Night Football, respectively. Time Warner really needs to get these games or do something like DirectTV to allow people to watch the games that matter instead of the some team beating another 56-10(NE at Buf). Why isn't it happening? Does DIRECT TV have some binding contract with the NFL?

I don't know but I get the NFL network with my bundle (Cox! :D).

If you don't have the NFL network, you can watch the games lives on NFL.com, sure it's not as good as watching it on your tv, but its better than some ticker on the bottom of espn.

It's more Complicated than it seems u don't just sign an NFL Thursday night football contract and be done u have to clear that time slot and theres some much Finical stuff involved, Then u have to consider Thursday night football only happens a few times a year it's hard to figure out all of that.

ESPN should pick up the thursday contact. They don't have much on thursdays that would be int he way. CBS/NBC/FOX all have regular sitcoms they show during the week.

If it's any consolation, most of their thursday and saturday games end up being terrible anyways.

But if you have to watch the games, go to NFL.com, they usually have a live feed. Fortunately you'll get the Pats-Giants on CBS/NBC but if this isn't sorted out by next year NFL.com is your only option.

Dallas Greenbay / Patriots Giants

That right there is worth having the network in itself. Hell like 90% of games on SUNDAY and MONDAY suck so thats a bad comparison.
