Texas led 21-0 and Arizona state basically fumbles the ball and there's a mad dash for it. The ball goes down the sideline and the ballboy thinks that the play is dead. He tries to go for the ball(while it's on the field still with players going after it) and then realizes that it's still a live ball. He takes his hand away just barely before the ball comes close to his hands, and Texas recovers the ball. However, the officials determined that he did touch the ball(when it looked like he really didn't), so it was unsportsmanlike conduct on the ballboy(Texas) and Arizona State got the ball back. They score on the very next play, so you're thinking that all the blame can go on this guy. The mood of the game has changed, it's only 21-7 with the ASU players pumped up when it could have been a demoralizing 0-28 score for ASU.

Turns out that the boy turns out to be Mack Brown(Texas's coach) stepson Chris Jesse! Texas won 52-34, but it still could have been a huge story and he would have been the most hated guy in Texas had Texas lost. he was pretty nervous(cameras were on him the whole game after the incident) until the game ended. This year is just getting even more crazier as it goes on! What will the BCS Bowl games be like?

He didn't even touch the ball. If you look at the replay, you can see his finger just missed it. The whole thing was blown way out of proportion, Texas still whooped.

Yeah he didn't touch it, but he was damn near it and was trying to touch it and almost did. He still interfered in my eyes.

Technically there was like 10 people on the field from their coaching staff. T hat in itself is interference.
