sonic the hedgehog series- feels like a chore to me, every levels pretty much the same, it's overly frustrating and annoying

halo series- it never felt enjoyable killing things, didn't like the weaponry. the games feel hollow to me for some reason

mass effect series- dull dull dull

minecraft- I'm perpelxed as to why so many people love this game.

I'll catch a lot of hate for this response but... There is one game that I have never been able to really get into and I hate that I cannot enjoy the experience as much as many of my fellow gamers. I've never really gotten into any of the Zelda games. There! I've said it.

I`m starting to lose interest in open world games, it seems more about quantity vs quality. Still, i`ll probably buy some when they drop in price, i might even enjoy some of them, if not then at least i wouldn`t lose much money.

MegaMan series. Just seems to be a messy, ugly, unfair, glitchy game...

Most Nintendo games... there are some I don't mind, like Metroid, but the popular ones like Mario & Zelda I've never really got in to a whole lot (Mario Sunshine is the only Mario game I've ever really enjoyed).

Also some open-world games, like Skyrim (I don't like doing any "grindy" things in a game). Also the Assassin's Creed games (except for Black Flag).

Call of Duty, Assassins Creed, Uncharted. Just wanted to get those out of the way because they've kind of become cool to hate.

GTA. I haven't played 5 yet, but previous entries just kind of bored me. I respect them as technical achievements, but in the end felt they tried to do too much at once. Most of which just isn't much fun. I prefer Saints Row I think because it focuses on better implementation of less stuff.

Mario Kart. They aren't bad games, but I only play them because my wife and friends want to. Always wish I was playing Excite Bots, F-Zero, Waverace or even 1080 Avalanche instead.

Persona 4. I love everything about this game, except the battle system. The dungeons are such a slog for me. I managed to get to September and just had to stop playing. Tried a few times to start up again, but no dice. Maybe in a few years.

- Nintendo games - They are not for me.

- Fallout series - Booooring.

- FF series - Meh.

- MG series - Don't appeal to me.

Metal of Honor comes to mind. I couldn't even get into that series, same for Call of Duty for that matter.

I also can't get into the Metal Gear games. I just find the games control so poorly.

Metal Gear and Bioshock are the two biggest ones I guess. When it comes to the latter I appreciate the story, but I find it hard to think of them as anything beyond mediocre when it comes to the gameplay. It's just always felt very dull to me.

I also could never get into the Batman Arkham games, although I attribute that to the fact that I've always been a pretty biased Marvel fanboy. I try not to be, but it's basically an unconscious reaction at this point as I was raised on Marvel.

Madden: I am not the biggest fan of sport games, but I really could never get into football games for some reason. I love NHL games though.

Final Fantasy: Although I haven't played the entire series, I'm just not the biggest fan of the series of turn-based rpgs for that matter. There are some that I enjoy, but overall I am not a fan.

Strangely enough, the first Zelda game I ever got sucked into was Windwaker (sacrilege, I know people say its not nearly the best Zelda game). I loved it so much that as much as I tried to play other Zelda games I could never get into them. Tried Ocarina, never finished it. Twilight Princess - got bored. Every other Zelda game I've tried just didn't have the same charm as Windwaker and I never got hooked again.

Mortal Kombat - I actually did like it back in the day but I didn't have too many fighting games. Even then I didn't like them(never bought MK II or III actually, just rented them) as much as the other the others I had(Super Street Fighter II, Justice League Task Force, and Turtles Tournament Fighters)

Halo series - Loved the first one, had a lot of fun playing the campaign in co-op. But after that the series fizzled out for me, quit both 2 and 3 well before finishing them.

Ico/Shadow of the Colossus - I just neither of them all that interesting or fun.

Legend of Zelda series, I'm currently trying to start this bad boy and give it another try...not working.

Halo, I tried...I don't really get the hype.

Minecraft, it's all blocks to me.

Super Smash bros, bought every single one...tried every single time ("Oh maybe this time I won't hate it that much!")

Assassin's Creed, I couldn't get into it...I'm trying to play the free ones that came with my Xbox One lmao.

Gears of War, my friends constantly kept trying to make me play this during the 360 era...just couldn't.

Also, just the fighting genre in general. I'm not very skilled when it comes to fighting games and so I dont waste my time playing them.

Hopefully, i'm not hated all that much lmao.

I am currently restarting ocarina of time for the 4th time in my life, I have never been able to get past the first temple (out of boredom not lack of ability) but I am determined to give it another shot and see if I can finally enjoy it as much as everyone says I should.

I'll let you all know how it goes, but it is not looking great, I started ocarina of time and pacman world 3 the same day, I hve played ocarina of time for about 15 minutes since then and pac man world 3 for about 10-12 hours, I think that speaks volumes on my feelings towards zelda but I will give it another shake once i beat pac man

Assassins Creed - i played the first one and gave it the best i could but after a few hrs quit for good. Not going anywhere near another one of these ever again.

Half Life 2- terrible game, its boring, it has bad controls, even when i first played it, it felt dated all around.

Even Halo, which i did like the original but the sequels became repetitive hell which I have no interest in playing again. Actually this is my thoughts now for all popular FPS games, i've played them all and am done with them. Everytime i see another COD game coming out, i die a little inside.

GTA series. I respect it for all it's brought into gaming, but it's something you'll never see me play.

"new" games: Assassin's Creed. The first one started off with such a promising setting and intrigue and then dropped the ball completely... and never picked it back up.

"old" games: 007 Goldeneye. I'm sorry, but I think this game "rules" largely on nostalgia - what was good on a cartridge console's weird 1-analog controller at one point. As someone who did not play it back in the day, and then was introduced to it recently... it's pretty awful IMO. But I don't think it's just the age... I played better games before its time and since... *ducks for cover*

Bioshock, Halo, and Gears of War. All very well made, just not for me.

The souls games have always been a bit hit and miss for me thought 3 was good 1 and 2 were hard to get into.
