@n64dd: That's a lot cleaner than mine, and I've scrubbed mine recently. Only Phantasy Star I have is the original on SMS. :(
@n64dd: Everything, even the box is perfect, I got it from a local dealer that runs a console repair/mod shop from his home ( also sells second hand games ) I don´t know how but he finds some really good things every now and then, he sold me a PS2 network adapter and repaired the trays of my PS2 Fat and Xbox 360 Elite, he has also sold me several things ( a mint japanese GC, several games ) so when he got those NIBs ( 3 ) he called me asking if I was interested, hard to let it pass away.

It's great having contacts! That's how I get most of my stuff.
@raugutcon: That must be nice, most of my 'contacts' only wish to milk my wallet of anything green that might be in it.
I look at it this way: I used to spend around 50 dollars a week in cigarettes and 600 ml Cokes, I quit smoking and ( since drinking Coke was part of the ritual of smoking ) I also ceased drinking Cokes, so I changed one thing for another with an advantage: purchasing & playing games n´stuff isn´t going to give me cancer, lung emphysema or diabetes, in other words, It´s a much healthier option.
Thug 2 and Mario Power Tennis.
On it's way: Star Wars: Battle for Naboo for N64, which will therefore complete my N64 and Factor 5 Star Wars collection.

Not a bad batch of games for 47 bucks !
@raugutcon: Only the items from the ebay auction were $47, the listed games cost me another $42. Outside of the two gauntlet games though, it was basically $2 a game. Still gotta get a pic of the games from the thrift, little pissed tho as one of them I didn't look closely enough and it had a PH disc inside a non-PH case :( Now I gotta buy it again.
Star Wars: Battle for Naboo arrived just a few days ago. Now, not one, but two more parts of my Star Wars collection are complete thanks to this game.

Man those are really nice collection you have there. Really good.
@davillain-: Thanks, I'm really pushing to 100% my OG Xbox games in my collection(388 out of 884), out of all the systems it has a small to moderate size, and most the games are still cheap, hard to find titles will probably increase in value over the next 10 years I bet. I included a link of the games from the thrift since gspot wants to change the orientation of the picture when I add it.

@nintendoboy16: Awesome finds !
Thanks! I've had the other Star Wars games for a while (Rogue Squadron I-III, Shadows of the Empire, Episode I: Racer) before I got Battle for Naboo. So now, it completes ALL the N64 Star Wars games and all Star Wars games developed by Factor 5.
nothing really new.. helped my brother clean out his house this week and found a bunch of old systems and atari games he left me have and ended up finding my old collection of EGM magazines..i have some all the way from 1990 till early 2000s.. i love reading through old gaming magazines.. it is straight nostalgia

I know the feeling. I do that with my old Nintendo Powers.

Not bad at all.
Still waiting on my item from Ebay, from the previous weekend.
Had another good weekend for the collection though. Got all of this for about $80. Also picked up 15 old PC games(only 2 in box) for $13 from the salvation army.

Very nice ! My weekend purchases haven´t arrived yet.
I'm hoping my previous weekend purchases finally arrive today, gonna get a new count on the OG Xbox collection, I think I'm just shy of 400, so I plan on going to the resale shop and finding whatever # I need to have exactly 400 OG Xbox games. At that point I think I am going to slow my buying until next year since it's quite costly with all the new games coming out as well.
I've picked up a few things over the past few weeks, I'll post more pics later on. The only pick-up I care about though is this one, one of my favorite games from childhood (local find too!) :D I need to scrub off the silly security label residue, the contacts are in rough shape but it did boot on first try. The game shop had tons of homebrew SNES games, may pick one of those up (probably a zelda or metroid hack).
Other retro stuff was Super R-type, CiB Sonic 3D blast, battletanx 1&2 N64, and a board to add HDMI to my gamecube. Also got a 2nd Gamecube, a purple one because there's a good chance I killed the mobo of my old GC...if I didn't kill it, then I guess I'll have two cubes.
BTW, any good shmups recommendations? Preferably cheap to acquire ones.

Damn man you're overpaying for Xbox games dude, I get them for $2 a piece regardless of what they are at like 5 different local pawn shops, I have 89 Xbox games and I only paid $176 for all of them.

What game is that?
More like pick ups of the month, then day.
Rebuilding my NES collection, but a new toaster(by new I mean replacement, not NIB) and game.
(also a zapper and NES Advantage)
I foolishly sold my NES stuff back when my system died, but thankfully name of the games I used to have were rare/expensive(most expensive one to replace if I don't find a deal is Kirby's Adventure) so I don't regret it as much as I could.
Abadox: The Deadly Inner War
Batman
Blaster Master
Dr. Mario
Friday the 13th
Flying Dragon: The Secret Scroll
Journey to Silius
Ninja Gaiden
Seicross
Super Mario Bros/Duck Hunt
Teenage Mutant Turtles III: The Manhattan Project
The Guardian Legend
Tiny Toon Adventures
Also Mega Man Legacy Collection on PS4, and Grandia II Anniversary Edition on PC if those count.
@nyadc: I don't pay that much every time I go out looking for Xbox games, but considering the fact that two of those games are hard to find Star Wars games that sell for $20-25 normally. Much of my Xbox collection was bought for $2 each, but when you own more than half of the games released for the system, you find that once in a while you have to pay a little extra to get one of the games you're missing. I'm sure when I buy up all the sports games for 50c to $1 each it'll even out. Also, everything is black label, in good condition, and complete. It's not always easy to find pristine copies of some of these games.

I also have to deal with the fact I'm not the only collector in the area, there are a ton of resellers around chicago who buy the games just to toss em on ebay. Even the thrift is getting ridiculous, I went to the goodwill on Saturday and they wanted $90 for Metroid Prime Trilogy used, you can buy it on ebay for $50.
And why the hell did gamespot change the edit button to have a timeout? What kind of retards are running this site? nyadc, sorry for the double email caused by gamespots retarded staff not knowing how to build a website.
Damn it guys, you really are lucky, your pawn shops carry games, mine don´t ! it´s either e-bay or through the, in practical terms, only 2 retro game retailers in the city, other than that good luck finding something. Btw, this week I didn´t purchase anything, could´t find anything interesting for the moment.
@raugutcon: Well one of those is a local pawn shop, and I think one more visit and I'll have cleaned them out of any OG Xbox games I need. Aside from that it's really just one or two finds per month at a thrift store if I'm lucky and the resellers haven't beaten me to it. The rest is all garage sale finds or scouring ebay for a decent deal. Plus, after the Shenmue 3 announcement at E3, people are seeking out the console to play that game, and driving up the price of the other good games the system had. The days of buying OG Xbox games for $2 a piece are almost over.
Okie dokie sooooo, finally I found something interesting, I paid my "weekly" visit to Misael ( the owner of the game store where I purchase most of my stuff ) had this well hidden until a pile of stuff until I happened to spot the corner of the box; after some resistance he let it go for $90 US. I know, I can get a cheaper one for like $25-30 US, but this one was complete and in very good condition.
Oh my, hoarding old stuff is sooooo kooooool !
@raugutcon: That's a nice find, and NES systems with the OG box tend to cost quite a bit more so that was a pretty good price, specially in the condition its in.
@suicidesn0wman: I know he could sell it for more but I´m a loyal customer, I´ve spent hundreds of dollars with him and by selling me the console he knows that I will purchase a "few" cartridges from him for collecting purposes ( not that I need to purchase the cartridges, I got the entire NES ROM collection in my Wii, which is actually the console where I play NES, SNES and a bunch of GBA games, I don´t play N64 because they don´t run properly ).
