I never watched gaming streams, and I never imagined I'd care for them either. Recently, however, I stumbled upon a GS article about a charitable event called "Summer Games Done Quick" where speed runners play games for charity. I somehow found myself in their twitch channel and I have to say I was hooked. I kept coming back and watching for the rest of the event. But now it's over, and I find myself wanting more. Somehow it's so relaxing and nostalgic.

My question is, is there any such channels out there that are mainly retro? I'm looking for channels like shows you know, where they host players and speak casually along the way. I'm new to gaming streaming so I hope I'm not being too much of a newbie.

@GazaAli: I'm not sure if this will help but the youtuber/streamers unite do have a lot of gamers streaming games, including retro gaming. I hardly and rarely go to that forum cause that forum doesn't have a lot of traffic and it feels way restricted to me. Here's the link: youtuber/streamers unite

One of the few retro channels I still care for.

I've always thought they should do a console mod episode. Audio/Video mods and things in this area.

They made one about a friend that does the modding, but they didn't go into much detail.

Check out the Gaming Historian, he does more of history lessons on the developers and systems than playthrough's/speedruns but I find it fascinating sometimes.

Never heard of him, but I do like a history now and there so I'll check it out.

I don't believe they stream videos but definitely check out World of Longplays on YouTube. They upload pretty much daily.
