It will be seen as a populist resurgence against establishment neo cons and neo libs

And they'll note how hard it failed with Trump, with data in hand. Look at the economy. Look at our Covid response. Look at the climate crisis. Look at the people rejecting it, with Trump's historically low approval and the biggest voter gap in 2018. Almost surely going to lose the popular vote in 2020.

@jeezers said:

It was a movement where the American population gave a giant middle finger to the do nothing lifelong politicians on both the left and right.

Including Trump, more voted for the other side in 2016 and 2020.

Trump will go down as a tragedy. Covid alone confirms that.

Speak for yourself. He is looking fantastic to be reelected. You have no clue how eager I am to see California's election results. I see nothing but converted democrats voting Trump, life long democrats. Laugh now while I enjoy one of the best if not the best President in history.

Did you just wake up from a coma? 2020...yikes. Even before that this statement was very questionable, but now it's.....wow.

Historials will most likely view Trump as one of the worst presidents of all time, As a matter of fact, they already do. And that was BEFORE COVID 19. Now he will most likely be held in the same regard as James Buchanan.

The election will also be studied, the 2016 election that is. Not only was it a massive upset. But also to study the conditions that lead to such a terrible president.

You all are thinking in the crazy media moment.

In reality, Trump will be viewed well by history. As a President he’s accomplished more than most. Three major pieces of legislation, two of which are bipartisan (USMCA, Farm Bill). Multiple Supreme Court appointments. Roaring economy (continuation of Obama’s). Quite on the war front (The actual reason the PTB want to get rid of Trump).

Civil unrest won’t be viewed as his, since it’s the same as the president’s before him. COVID19 won’t impact him much either, as it’s a global pandemic; and the response is fairly in line with how the Federal and State governments are suppose to work.

@jeezers: I was around for Regan, he sucked. It took him years to even admit AIDS was a problem and his trickle down economics screwed over the poor. Look at the 2008 crash, most of those policies can be traced back to two people.....Regan and Clinton.

Obama was good, but a total wuss that let the GOP control the narrative. Spineless.

I was around for Eisenhower and the last good president the Democrat's had was John Kennedy. Obama did nothing good except go abroad and diss America.

Historians have already done 2 rankings twice that included Trump

The first time he landed in 44th place (the worst), and the second time in 42nd place. Beating only James Buchanan and Andrew Jackson.

COVID 19 is an international thing, but some countries handled COVID 19 better than others. Trump's handling of COVID has been an international disaster. Civil Unrest has been further AMPLIFIED than Trump. Trump didnt just fail as a leader by doing nothing, he outright made it worse.

Regarding COVID 19

  • He dismantled programs Obama had put in place to prevent another pandemic from occuring
  • He lied about the disease, repeatedly.
  • He pushed for policies against what experts were advising. (So no hindsight excuse here works)
  • He half-assed the travel ban. Which may have made the spread of disease even worse
  • When his failure was clear for all to see, he blamed the likes of Biden and Democrats, even though the Democrats were not in power and if they were, they were actively advocating for the stuff experts agreed on.

@SumPro: I can guarantee you Trump will lose California by around 25 points. I will love to see life long Republicans vote Biden.

Biden has a better chance at winning Texas than Trump does California.

Let's See

  • Cosponsoring the Violence Against Women Act
  • The Family and Medical Leave Act
  • The Affordable Care Act under Obama
  • Introduced a Climate Change Bill back in 1987
  • Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals.
  • The National Voter Registration Act
  • The Department of Education Organization Act
  • The Department of Energy Organization Act
  • The Lily Ledbetter Fair Pay Act
  • Repeatedly beaten the NRA

Now I see why he is so well liked. Thank you Jim.

Edit: Fixed a typo.

Lets talk about the Affordable Care Act if it was so good why did the sponsors feel they had to lie about it to get the people to accept it. That from the person who wrote it and it wasn't Biden.

Letts talk about the National Voter registration act, anyone who signs up for a drivers license can register to vote now we have a number of blue states that give illegal aliens the right to vote more votes for the Democrats. Sponsored by Rep. Swift from Washington no Joe Biden.

DACA it was never approved by the senate and signed into law it was enforced by a presidential order.

Department of Education Organization Act along with the Teacher unions have destroyed the education system in the United states. We now spend more per person for education than any any other country and are ranked 37th in math and science in industrial countries and many students can't read at grade level. That was one of our better acts. Sponsored by Senator Ribicoff from Alabama no Joe Biden

The Department of Energy Organization Act. we now have a Department with 14,000 employees for what? They have never done anything they were supposed to do just make the government bigger. With Biden's climate change proposal we will have no energy at all just a bloated department. Sponsored by Sen. Ribicoff form Alabama no mention of Joe Biden

The Lily Ledbetter Fair Pay Act was championed by Obama. Biden does not appear in any history of the bill.

Family and Medical Leave act was sponsored by William D. Ford from M. Joe Biden Not mentioned.

The violence against Women act was sponsored by Joe Biden and Orin Hatch. In 2000 the Supreme ruled the central piece of the law was unconstitutional. Joe Biden has been accused by a number of women of questionable conduct committed by him. How fitting.

Again I ask what has he done in 47 years in government beside enrich his families wealth.

No he won't. He divided the country, allowed foreign interference, was impeached, has no interest in the Constitution nor democratic norms, civil unrest and protests since day ONE. You guys are really only watching propaganda tv if you don't see this.

Speaking from memory. One or two states tested having some different means for receiving driver's license, meaning illegal immigrants could get a valid drivers license. It had a positive impact on traffic safety I think.

Turns out Wikipedia has an article about it.

The ACA has a net favorability of 7%

LJS brought up why your concern is a non-issue.

What is your point? it is still something he accomplished, and it seems to have had a positive effect. Positive effect on the economy, no real effect on the crime, positive effect on the education, physical and mental health of the people it affects.

Generally the biggest issue with Education from what I have seen is the No Child Left Behind act. While the Department of Education Organization Act was active (prior to No Child Left Behind), The US had some of the best schools in the world. Ranking 6th in international academic attainment.

Research and development, the human genome project, and so, so much more.

Regarding the stuff you give credit only to Obama for, Biden, too played a part in it, he was the VP.

He wasnt written into the Family and Medical Leave Act, but he was well known to having fought for it.

Still beats 6 bankruptcies, a scam university and spreading falsehoods on twitter ;)

On a more serious note: His list of achievements isn't great by any means. But to say he has achieved nothing is blatantly dishonest. But the election is about the future, not the past. Biden's platform is pretty standard fare (much like his political accomplishments), but between the 2 viable candidates, he easily has the best platform, and represents the best future for america.

Joe Biden is a Trojan horse. He will not be making the policy decisions On two occasions it was called the Harris Biden presidency once by Harris and once by Biden. If you listen to his campaign adds and know anything about recent past history you see how false they are. His add about buying American goods and how manufacturing is the key to American economy yet as vice president Obama stated the manufacturing jobs are not coming back there is no magic wand, yet Trump found it and brought them back now Joe is trying to make you believe only he can do it. This form a man you gets awards for just being there.

Also what does what you have to say do with anything.

Biden wont do much, odds are he will just be a mediator while the experts in his cabinet do all the policy making. I am sure Biden knows of his limitations. Harris and Biden's cabinet of experts are both vastly preferable to Trump.

There are sixteen states that allow illegal aliens to obtain a driver's license, including DC and Puerto Rico.

Trump has had a number of accomplishments. He has done more for the Black community than any president in the last fifty years, he has got rid of regulations that allow business and industry to grow, he has lowered the unemployment rates to historic lows in the Black, Latino communities, also for women. He has re-negotiated trade agreements to help the US he has halted China in there illegal activities which are to numerous to list, he has gotten NATO countries to pay their economic and military commitments. He destroyed ISIS and killed the leading terrorist from Iran, He tackled North Korea when former presidents did not know how to handle them, The media will not cover his achievements only report any negative story while ignoring stories that put a Democrat in an unfavorable light.

Talking points. A lot of those things were just continuing the trends followed by Obama.

The Trade War with China was an unmitigated disaster, and the new trade deals were worse than the ones they replaced.

No he didnt, most NATO countries are still below 2%.

DAESH is not destroyed, far from it. They have been pushed back, but they are still around, the credit for this primarily goes to the Kurds and Syrians. The Iranian terrorist leader was a bad person and I am glad he is gone, but he nearly caused a MASSIVE international fallout by doing so.

He got suckered by North Korea.

There is a reason historians consider him one of the worst presidents of all time.

Edit: You also didnt answer my question.

Not anymore, in California, And New York laws were passed to let illegal aliens get a drivers license. Those are the two states that I am aware of there may be others.

There are sixteen states that allow illegal aliens to obtain a driver's license, including DC and Puerto Rico.

Are you having a conversation with yourself? Anyway a driver's license doesn't automatically allow you to register to vote.

Sadly true, America is a deeply dysfunctional country.

@zaryia: What's amazing and sad is how easily past norms about democracy have been disregarded by Trump, and how so many people seem fine with it. 30-40 years ago, a sex scandal was enough to derail a candidate. Now, Trump can get away with alleged treason against his nation, he can make openly racist statements and support hate groups. Years ago, politicians would have to try and explain to the public about their shortcomings, now Trump just calls facts "fake news" whenever the truth makes him look bad. People seem to lack critical thinking skills these days. I'm truly concerned about the future of my democracy under this clown.

It'll be a good lesson in psychology and how easy it has been to manipulate the weak and gullible. Hopefully we'll learn but ultimately little will probably change.

Hopefully they won't be wondering how Trump was the first world leader to win a Darwin Award.

No he won't. He divided the country, allowed foreign interference, was impeached, has no interest in the Constitution nor democratic norms, civil unrest and protests since day ONE. You guys are really only watching propaganda tv if you don't see this.

Actually, I don't watch much news (especially national) outside of financial news, so no propaganda here. I'm just going by what is actually happening, not what some pundits told me.

Country was divided before him, remember all that happened during the previous administration.

He allowed foreign interference; do tell? If you are talking about the 2016 election, he wasn't president at that time, so you could say the previous administration allowed it. (I wont say it because I think the foreign interference noise is nonsense).

Please show what democratic norms have been abandoned, or that he norms that hadn't previously been abandoned?

Civil unrest from day one means it wasn't his, or that people were sore that their "side" didn't win. That's not on him.

Seems like you might be the one sitting in an echo chamber.

Now that we've covered that, can you actually refute anything of things I've said were done, or will you ignore that they were done?

Nothing happened. Head to your local Walmart. This is a white trash country.
