Finally its happened, Warren has now passed up Biden in several national polls, the polls in Iowa, and now is pegged by oddmakers as the favorite, giving her a 51% chance of winning the nomination.

Finally, the weaknesses of Biden's campaign, his terrible debate performances, and Trump's impeachable attempt to dig up a false corruption scandal on a VALID ethics issue is finally taking its toll, while the limited appeal of Sanders (and a health scare) is catching up to Sanders.

Her bottom line numbers are even better than her top end. She also leads on second choice, favorability, and enthusiasm for the candidate. She is also starting to pick up moderate and black voters.

And Democrats would actually be smart picking her, as she has advantages on a couple major fronts. Warren fits with the profile of those who win presidential elections in the modern era (Biden DOES NOT), being a charismatic outsider. She can also neutralize Trump if he wants to run on the economy, being an economic expert herself. The best political strategy is not to attack your opponents weaknesses, but to diminish their strength. And Warren is the best equipped to do this. She is also reportedly giving Trump's opposition research team fits. She may be tougher to attack than Biden or Sanders, and definitely Hilary Clinton.

It seems Biden is falling back as well, concentrating more in Super Tuesday than early states. Big mistake, as if Warren wins Iowa, she has the best chance to win the nomination, she captures New Hampshire as well, she will have too much momentum. And you do not give momentum to one that is running the best campaign of the pack.

Berine Sanders is dying...

He has more than a couple of options. The best one is him quitting and making a deal with Warren to become VP.

I've been in her camp since very early on and I'm happy to see that support validated. With Sanders dealing with a health scare and Biden having to fend of a mountain of conservative conspiracy dogshit, she's definitely looking to pull even further ahead.

It's a simple thing really. She's well educated, has insider political experience without an exacerbated 50 year career, a clean voting record, and makes efforts to appeal to other camps with energy and enthusiasm, without abandoning her progressive ideals.

Also, how amazing and hilarious would it be when Trump gets impeached, perhaps indicted, all because of the wrong competitor.

Biden is still trouncing her in South Carolina. Blacks in that state make up 60% of primary voters, and he has 45% favorability compared to Warrens 4%. Wherever you're getting the info that she's doing well with blacks, it's certainly not in areas that matter.

Elizabeth Warren’s campaign sent dinner to Bernie Sanders staffers after his heart procedure

https://www.boston.com/news/politics/2019/10/03/elizabeth-warrens-bernie-sanders-heart-procedure

These two are keeping it clean and showing a lot of class in the small areas.

Meanwhile, in reality, Republicans prospects are so fucked they have to cancel primaries, because they can't take the chance someone would make Trump look bad before the general.

Apparently Trump did suggest that maybe China should look into Biden however, like just earlier today.

https://www.wsj.com/articles/trump-urges-ukraine-china-to-investigate-the-bidens-11570114755

Speaking to reporters on the South Lawn of the White House on Thursday, Mr. Trump called for Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to lead the charge for a Biden investigation. “I would say, President Zelensky, if it was me, I would start an investigation into the Bidens,” Mr. Trump said.

The president said that China should start an investigation of the Bidens, alleging that “what happened in China is just about as bad as what happened with Ukraine.” Asked if he had sought Chinese President Xi Jinping’s help, Mr. Trump said: “I haven’t, but it’s certainly something we can start thinking about.”

@LJS9502_basic: Nah, lj. You just have to cut a little more. Like the current farm subsidies. Hell, get rid of the farm bill and snap entirely. They mostly gifts to rural America who claim to not want government involvement anyway.

Farm subsidies. Oil subsidies. For starters.

Might increase the cost (initially) of food and gasoline but that just means right now the American people are living on artificially low prices.

@Master_Live: Farm subsidies are somewhere around 30 billion a year but oil and gas subsidies are over 700 billion... The latter seems way more important to cut lol. I agree with you.

However, I don’t know what you mean by “artificially low prices”. There’s nothing inherently “natural” or “real” about a free market system.

@HoolaHoopMan: An IMF report from earlier in the year: https://www.rollingstone.com/politics/politics-news/fossil-fuel-subsidies-pentagon-spending-imf-report-833035/

“ The IMF found that direct and indirect subsidies for coal, oil and gas in the U.S. reached $649 billion in 2015. Pentagon spending that same year was $599 billion.”

I’m off by a bit but yeah, still wild.

That number doesn't make sense to me with respect to the federal budget though. I'd need to research a bit more since it might be tallying up local and state subsidies into the final total.

She does not need to win South Carolina, a single digit loss would do.

However,

If she wins Iowa, and either or both, New Hampshire or Nevada, that can change the atmosphere in South Carolina, and flip the black vote. Remember in 2008, Clinton led with black voters until Obama won Iowa, and the black vote shifted to Obama. Kerry in 2004 had 1% black support coming into Iowa and won the nomination.

So Biden pundits need to be well aware that the black vote can shift, and Warren is already starting to poll better with them.

And not only does Warren led in Iowa right now, she has the nest operation on the ground there and in Nevada. So there is a reason betters put her at around 2-1 odds right now.

I used Real Clear Politics

https://www.realclearpolitics.com/elections/betting_odds/democratic_2020_nomination/

But putting Yang and Hillary above Buttigieg and Harris makes me scratch my head. Also Sanders is till getting the fundraising for the odds he has and still polls well in many states.

However, favoring Warren this strongly may be right, while her top line numbers are close to Biden's, her bottom line numbers are winning. And she has the momentum and is viewed as running the best campaign.

Warren and Sanders raise more money through small dollar donations than Biden has with corporate high dollar fundraising......wow.

Biden is falling behind not only in polls, but in fundraising.

Kind of really weak if so. I don't think ever I've seen so scarce and irrelevant dirt on a major candidate.

Interesting opinion of yours, but 4 of them beat Trump in a head to head in several polls for public opinion. More people like them than Trump. Including Fox News ones.

1. Opinion. However, the person she would theoretically run against has even less popular policies and exponentially more gaffs/scandals.

2. They worked great. The polls were right for last time for what they measure (public opinion). We are discussing public opinion, not the EC. National Opinion polls aren't usually wrong, especially when they all point to a trend.

@zaryia: 1. No, her stance on reparations, free healthcare for illegals and open boarders are not popular at all.

2. National opinion polls don't pick the next president. The far left hivemind in California may boost her Public opinion polls but it won't win her the election.

Reported. Please refrain from trolling (and being objectively wrong). Here are where my "delusions" are coming from:

https://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/2020/president/us/general_election_trump_vs_biden-6247.html

Most major polls show the top 3 Dems beating him.

I would prefer counter citation over ad-hominem attacks. I understand your perception of National Opinion differs from actual National Opinion, so you lash out at me with random insults once I shatter such perceptions.
