So let them send it in and let them go vote, and if their system's as good as they say it is, then obviously they won't be able to vote. If it isn't tabulated, they'll be able to vote," Trump said when asked whether he has confidence in the mail-in system in North Carolina, a battleground state.

"If it's as good as they say it is, then obviously they won't be able to vote. If it isn't tabulated, they'll be able to vote. So that's the way it is. And that's what they should do," he said.

I honestly don't know what to say here. I just think that this is something people should be aware of that Trump is doing and also discussing it.

It's completely obvious he wants to delegitimize the election as much as possible. That way he can either cheat his way to winning and then stall endlessly in court to try and make a power grab if he loses anyway.

Not surprised. If Trump wins we shouldn’t accept the results and hold this up in court until we get him out.

What can you say? We're completely beyond pale at this point, and all that can be said is that this party is rooted in unamerican ideals.

If you think that's too harsh of a statement, then you're not paying attention to what the party is doing.

Gerrymandering is on both sides and that is how we have done politics for 200 years... to cry foul ball now is a bit ludicrous.

So Republicans lost the house because of gerrymandering? Give me a break.

It's good to see the law and order Republicans opposing Trump on this matter and calling him out for it. Additionally, it's a pleasure to see law enforcement oppose Trump for his reckless suggestion to commit a fraud.

More fear, sprinkled with some doubt.

It's actually quite brilliant because he is a.) telling people they can't trust the system and then b.) asking people to break the system by breaking the law. Self-fulfilling prophecy, much?

It's also idiotic because LAWS EXIST TO PREVENT THIS SHIT! OF COURSE IT WON'T WORK IF PEOPLE BREAK THE LAW!

I feel that it is innately American and even a bit healthy to be distrustful of "the system" in the larger scheme of things, but at the same time we have proven--repeatedly--that this specific system actually works (if you let it), so in this particular case let's trust the system, OK?

*sigh*

What's next? Cheating at poker? "Hey I bet people will win if they cheat. Go prove it by cheating"

1. Gerrymandering is on both sides, but mostly done by the GOP. They are less popular and depend on shady tactics.

Even if the second votes for Trump are not counted, they will lengthen the queues for other voters, therefore other voters will miss the cut off time.

This happened in Hong Kong.

Everyone I know is going to the booth to vote, taking no chance with the potential mail in fraud the Democrats will try to pull off. We all agree it's a must we vote Trump come November it would be a scary country if Biden wins. God help us all.

Is anyone surprised at this point?

Trump doesn't give a shit about democracy or the Consitituion. He wants to be someone powerful, like Putin or Jinping. He sees their dictatorships and says "why can't I rig elections and stay in power indefinitely?"

It's funny how all the liberals here are defending Biden and Harris.

Biden has been in politics for almost 50 years and he has done nothing for minorities during that time. He has also been terrible for civil liberties but of course like always Democrats/leftists/progressives (you name it) never do any research on their candidate.

https://reason.com/video/joe-bidens-bold-thinking-shredded-civil-liberties-and-destroyed-lives/

Harris on the other hand has a very bad history. In CA she was our AG and she literally kept people beyond their prison sentences. Prosecutors under her blocked evidence from the defense (which is illegal) which resulted in the dismissal of hundreds of criminal cases. She has flip-flopped on every major issue and historically she has never been pro-marijuana legalization.

https://reason.com/video/kamala-harris-drug-warrior-vice-cop-draconian-prosecutor/

I am with you- Trump is the only answer and I definitely think the Democrats are going to take advantage of the vote by mail system. I live in CA and 117% of Los Angeles County is registered to vote. Democrats have a long history with voter fraud and they block common sense things like voter ID because they say it's racist... give me a break. Perhaps Democrats should take voter fraud seriously?

I love threads like these. Just underpins how uncaring and moronic Trump supporters truly are. Every time they're asked to confront something Trump says or does they deflect or legitimize illegal activity. Can't go against the cult grain.

@lamprey263: I mean maybe it's not a crime, right? Maybe anytime you attempt to commit a crime and get caught in the act it ceases to be a crime. Like trying to rob a bank, it may be a defensible position to say that you got caught so no harm was even done. Seems legit, right?

@lamprey263: I mean maybe it's not a crime, right? Maybe anytime you attempt to commit a crime and get caught in the act it ceases to be a crime. Like trying to rob a bank, it may be a defensible position to say that you got caught so no harm was even done. Seems legit, right?

Well, it makes sense if you don't think about it.

So, question. If the system is so secure from election fraud, why not let them vote twice? The system will catch them, and they could be arrested, right? How do you propose stopping somebody from voting twice exactly?

Hmm, I guess even people on the left admit the election system isn't so secure. Imagine that. Now what do you propose to do about it to prevent Trump supporters from voting twice?
