Geeze these poor cops. They probably just want to play Red Dead Redemption 2 like the rest of us and now they have to clean up another mass shooting.

Should the news just ignore what's going on in our country and show clips of water skiing squirrels so as not to offend your delicate sensibilities?

Psychologists for over a decade have said the one thing media can do that will have a big influence on these mass shootings is to stop naming these murderous men and showing their photos.

That's all.

They can still report on it , show the police at the site of the attrocity, they can still show helicopter shots of the innocent running out of the venue with their arms up in the air, they can still show the photos and names of the victims. Still interview witnesses.

Just stop showing the killers and naming them, but no, they won't.

I guess they have to report the mass shootings, but there's no reason that they have political BS 24/7. This was all started by the right wing propaganda outlets and now it's 24/7. It's mostly just like watching the "News Wars" as the idiotic commentators fight over who is PC or not. It's basic trash TV. I've lost all respect for news.

@narlymech: It's the nature of the 24hr news cycle that we're in these days. When they run out of news to report they just beat the latest tragedy to death or focus on politics to keep themselves busy and reporting and keep the people that feed off it tuned in for advertising dollars.

Life seemed simpler when we only got the news three times a day. It wasn't, we just didn't hear about it all day.
