I don't understand why this guy was nominated. No notable relevant history/experience, limited relevant knowledge based on what we've seen... What does he bring to the position for which he is nominated?

@mattbbpl: Quickly checking Wiki:

Petersen was nominated to the Federal Election Commission by President George W. Bush on June 12, 2008, and unanimously confirmed by the United States Senate on June 24, 2008. He served as Chairman for 2010 and 2016.

From 2005 until his appointment to the FEC, Petersen served as Republican chief counsel to the United States Senate Committee on Rules and Administration. Prior, Petersen served as counsel to the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on House Administration

Apparently, it's an in-party promotion.

Weird. On one hand, while Trump doesn't seem too concerned with the qualifications of those he appoints, I also didn't peg him as someone who would be concerned with this kind of in-party promotion. On the other hand, while the party at large obviously concerns itself with this kind of in-party promotion, they've typically been concerned about whether or not they at least give the appearance of gross incompetence.

Sad that politicians aren't taking this serious.

Being a leader is just about stroking your ego, shilling for coin, and having some lame ass legacy. Americans are too stupid to event to vote for a president that is monotone and intelligent.

Why does a judge need prior experience in the courtroom? Seems like an odd requirement.

Good for him, it was the right thing to do. Surprising, too.

I almost felt sorry for him, that was like watching a cat play with a rodent.

This administration is constantly proving that truth is stranger than fiction. I'd have believed such incompetence would never willingly occur publicly, but jesus h christ here it is.

Love to watch these threads where liberals get triggered.

But to bad he withdrew, it would have been fun to see him in action.

Good. He doesn't have to be weighed down by the complications of law. He can do what he feels is right.

And not knowing facts such as yourself adds nothing to the many threads you post in. But you keep doing it. go back to infowars.
