That Karen MacDougal one. I'd probably have an affair with her, too.

The funny part is, the lawyer admitting that was a breech of contract.

So now she can say what she wants and keep the money

She already talked, how do you think the story came to be.

Who's the party of family values?

There is a slight double standard in candidates from both parties; however, when a party constantly argues for family values and a return to traditional values, it befuddles me to why and how a candidate like Trump was elected. I get it, no one's perfect and no one really lives the "perfect life" but Trump? I don't get it.

Clinton, by no means, is perfect and was rightfully impeached for lying but when was the last time the Democrats went out and tried to get into everyone's social lives, proclaim themselves as the party of "family values," and attempt to dismantle our political institutions?

reminds me of the Lou Reed Lyrics to Sex with your parents

because of the line

In the name of the family values we must ask whose family

In the name of the family values we must ask - Senator

People on the left do not care if this is true or not. This porn "star" will be taken as true no matter if there is any evidence or not.

She got her 15min and got quite a lot of cash for just mere mentioning Trump.

the senator who invinted the very phrase 'family values' Newt Gingrich has been divorced many times and the man who leveraged it was Oral Roberts. anyone know a thing or two about Oral?

@drunk_pi: Would they be the same? One was while he was president, the other was something like 10 years ago? Why does anyone care about then anyways? It's kind of amazing he hasn't done it since then, which says something. (Nothing's came out, which surely would have by now).

What, are you offended that they stole it out of the Democrat's playbook? For two solid decades the party has cheered an accused rapist who ejaculated on white house staff and then ordered them to lie about it.

Heck they still call the sexual harassment a mere affair in an effort to normalize the sexual misconduct. Talk about sticking it to social justice.

Difference: There have been FAR more Democrats that have gotten in trouble for it (Clinton, Franken, Wiener) than Republicans, and when some Republicans getting rightfully called out on it. They're getting scot-free.

Yeah, Clinton got in so much trouble that people continued to throw millions of dollars at him and his family while flying him around the country to be placed on pedestals in front of up cheering crowds. That kind of punishment is totally appropriate for an accused rapist who commits sexual harassment.

Such social justice.

People are free to do what they want with their money. And last I checked in regard to the trump transgressions you always bring up court of law so it works both ways. Hypocrites have the double standards.

When did I once do that? Go back on your meds grandpa.

And of course people are free to do whatever they want with their money, including supporting accused rapists who get busted for sexual harrassment. It is just silly to claim they are being punished when millions of dollars are thrown at them so they can be subjected to cheering crowds.

It's because of the FEC Act of 1974.

FECA’s definition of “contribution” in 52 U.S.C. § 30101(8)(A) includes “any gift, subscription, loan, advance, or deposit of money or anything of value made by any person for the purpose of influencing any election for Federal office.” Importantly, there is no requirement that a “contribution” be labeled as such or that the money actually pass through a campaign’s coffers: a third-party’s payment of a candidate’s campaign or personal expense qualifies as a “contribution,” except where “the payment would have been made irrespective of the candidacy.”

Well at least that is theoretically possible that it applies and not totally inaccurate, so you are doing one better then the OP. On the other hand it is pretty effortless to argue that it would have been made irrespective of the candidacy. If that is honestly the best you can come up with I figure it is perfectly reasonable for an individual to conclude that this is nothing more then an opportunity to gossip about a pathetic little man's cringy affair with a porn star.

After all, the 'possibly illegal' story is going to vanish in a day or two, but the book the lady is going to write is going to be a best seller.

I dont know how old you guys are but the reason it is different is historical.

Republicans have always been in the past the party of declaring morality, religious, evangelical.

Democrats have never been the party that describes themselves as sexually moral, that is the RNC. that is why the hypocrisy matters

It is your position that the democratic party is okay with rape, sexual harassment, lying under oath, and instructing your victims to do the same?

That is just silly. The Democratic party is against all those things. They are just willing to ignore it in their own camp so long as it translates into money and power. That is how the Clintons got dumped by the #MeToo senator after two decades of patronage. They are not longer an asset, so now his history of sexual misconduct is a problem.

The hypocrisy is thick on both sides. I mean come on, the Democratic party is supposed to be feminist.

Holy fluff I am actually about to defend politicians. Bleh!

The above is nonsense. We don't have a pro rape/harassment party. We just have two parties that will let such things slide when they are able.

ok if you say so.

the difference is that the RNC when it comes to sex has declared itself as the party of choice, it is the party of choice for the religious and righteous with god as far as its declaration.

DNC does not make such assertions or even overtones.

That is why it matters more when members of the RNC are screwing around.

however, we also know that RNC despite what they declare as well as the followers, really dont care

@tryit: Dude you are talking crazy. Politicians are scum but we don't have a pro-rape/sexual harassment party.

again....

the party that is of religion and sexual morality is the RNC.

The DNC is counter to those very sexual moralities, that is why:

-when a evangelical supported candidate who uses the term 'family values' has been married 3 times it matters (Newut)

-when a president that the religious factions of this country support was married three times it matters (Regan I think was married three times)

-when a evangelical supported president who is paying off porn star to keep his affair hush hush and was married 2 times it matters.

BUT...we all know those evangelicals and religious factions actually dont care about any of that as long as the actions are not done by a liberal.

so you talking about pro-rape/sexual harassment bla bla bla is just going to leave me saying the above again.

so what do you think your end game is here exactly? think this thru

Dude you tell people you are a moron when it takes days for you to grasp simple concepts and you end up having to contradict yourself. Trying to switch to smug pseudo intellectual just doesn't work. If you don't think the DNC has publicly come out against rape and sexual harassment there isn't any point in engaging with you, so I am not. Have fun, try and do better next time.

well done.

see if you think this stuff thru, imagining what the person is going to say next, and thinking about your goal and the likely outcomes of what you say.

life becomes easier

Dude you tell people you are a moron when it takes days for you to grasp simple concepts and you end up having to contradict yourself. Trying to switch to smug pseudo intellectual just doesn't work. If you don't think the DNC has publicly come out against rape and sexual harassment there isn't any point in engaging with you, so I am not. Have fun, try and do better next time.

nobody on these forums are being 'intellectual' including me.

The bottom line is this, the RNC has always been a party of the religious, they have always been fairly public about the DNC seemingly endorsement of sexual immorality.

This is why when they (members of the RNC) cheat on their wife's, pay money to hide affairs have multiple marriages and their religious base saying NOTHING at all about it.

it becomes a matter worth pointing out.

now..dont let yourself be a sounding board for my point

Actually, most pornstars have good training in being "tight" down there ;) and most get health checks regularly.

that doesnt make sense.

anyway...growing up in the 80s and 90s it was also 'a thing'.

The right (and NOT the left) was the party of the 'religious right', the right coined the phrase 'family values' no democratic president to my knowledge has ever been supported explictly or implictiy by the 'religious right' (of which there is not a 'religious left' in common terms). So yes, its fair to say the RNC is about family values and religion and the DNC is not.

which is why when a high ranking member of the RNC is cheating on his wife with a porn star it makes people on the left laugh at them

as much as i despise Trump..this is not news..it is a pointless distraction

It's not news but it's certainly relevant as it's more evidence the type of person we elected into highest office.
