Reporter Amy Robach states in leaked video ABC killed Epstein story three years ago due to political pressure

In the video published by Project Veritas, ABC reporter Amy Robach appears to be speaking off the record that they had a lot of evidence of Epstein's crimes and had convinced one of his alleged victims to come out of hiding to speak on the incidents. She appears frustrated over the story being killed over some of the people allegedly involved with it.

“I tried for three years to get it on, to no avail, and now it’s all coming out. And it’s like these new revelations and I freaking had all of it. I am so pissed right now. … What we had was unreal.”

Later in the video, she mentions that the palace (presumably Buckingham) threatened them "in a million different ways" when they discovered some of the allegations mentioned Prince Andrew. Near the end of it, she states that she believes without a doubt that Epstein was murdered in prison.

According to the Washington Post, ABC tried to explain their reasoning for not reporting it:

“At the time, not all of our reporting met our standards to air, but we have never stopped investigating the story. Ever since we’ve had a team on this investigation and substantial resources dedicated to it. That work has led to a two-hour documentary and 6-part podcast that will air in the new year.”

What do you think? As far as I'm concerned, whoever was involved with it needs to go to jail regardless of their political party.

Everybody knows abc is owned by the democratic party. We should be impeacing them instead of our hero Trump.

The Epstein memes have been a beautiful thing to witness, its throwing it back out there since the media seems to not want to mention it. Because regardless of where you lean politically, this whole story has smelt bad. from how the media brushed it off, didn't question his death, and while knowing he has had connections to some of the most powerful people in the world. Security should have been on high alert with this guy.

instead we got malfunctioned cameras, sleeping security guards, and a story that says a 6 foot 2 man hung himself from a 5 foot bunk bed.

It makes sense why he would want to commit suicide, but shit like sleeping guards and malfunctioning cameras should have resulted in loads of extra work for the company to make sure this does not happen again. And an investigation into why it happened.

I have a new theory, It was the Buckingham Palace that killed Epstein. One of the prince of the British royals was connected to him. Also, the British royals killed Diane so there is potential there that they can kill someone if there is a threat.

Anyone surprised really? Red flags everywhere with the "suicide" with one of the most prolific pedophiles in history, and it's out of the media within a week. Cover-ups are as easy as ABC.

Well if it's true it is certainly quite a story. Wish ABC would come out with the info but a lot of the rich and powerful folks are still rich and powerful.

Sucks that Project Veritas came out with this, a more credible source would be nice. These people literally make stories up and edit together soundbites.

@horgen: i believe since this veritas vid came out, ABC said they were saving the interviews and content for a future doc. Which no one believes, why would you sit on evidence of such a serious crime for over 3 years, as far as im concerned ABC let this go on. Since CBS just fired a former ABC employee they suspect had access to the footage, I can see how anybody else that may have access to it may be scared to leak it since they don't want to be blacklisted from the entire industry.

After the footage was released, ABC verified it as authentic and Amy Robach released a statement trying to downplay it (probably because she wanted to keep her job). After that, it received almost no coverage outside of right-wing news. Tucker Carlson and Hannity reported on it, but those two are as bad as Alex Jones according to some people in this forum. Then an employee that was working for an entirely different network is fired because she supposedly had access to the footage despite no reports that she was the whistleblower.

Yeah, someone didn't want this to get out. The media spent more time reporting on some teen from Kentucky smirking while wearing a MAGA hat than on a multi-millionaire that may have footage of several powerful men having sex with minors allegedly committing suicide while awaiting trial. The problem is many Liberals will argue it was Trump and/or Barr, many Conservatives will argue it was Hillary and/or some other powerful Democrat(s), and most normal people just want elites that were screwing children to face justice regardless of their political party.

It’s not being reported because this came from Project Veritas, a Republican propaganda outlet operated by a lying criminal with 0 credibility. Remember those fake Planned Parenthood vids? Pizzagate? The attempt by them to trick the Washington Post into printing fake allegations of Roy Moore?

Did you miss the part where I said ABC verified the footage as authentic? Or Amy Robach verifying that she said it? If the footage was manipulated she would have probably said so.

As to why it’s not being reported by reputable sources... who knows? I’m sure the crazies will conjure up a conspiracy very soon. And good job downplaying racism against indigenous Americans in that previous post, really showing how impartial you are.

@ad1x2: I couldn't agree more here. This one should not be a left/right issue. Powerful people of different political parties were involved with this guy, and they all need to be investigated here.

I'll even give props to Project Veritas on this one. For once they just released raw footage and let the video speak for itself. They did add in the weird heartbeat because they couldn't help themselves, but that's not really a big deal. The point is, everyone should be able to come together on this one. A lot of powerful heads need to roll. They won't, but they should.

If I wanted to be a conspiracy theorist, I would mention the fact that they said the story was killed three years ago and then bring up that three years ago was the 2016 presidential election. For the past three years, we've been talking about election interference in favor of Trump but this potential interference is being swept under the rug.

Yeah, the easier theory to believe is that getting that slam-dunk interview with Kate and Prince William was more important than outing a rich pedophile, but would they have done the same thing if Trump was mentioned by name by the accuser they interviewed?

It's not labeled by Wiki itself just that "Three Harvard University scholars refer to Project Veritas as a "right-wing disinformation outfit." which comes from a paper "Manipulation, Disinformation, and Radicalization in American Politics" and it's all about how the right wing use Social media to influence the masses. I don't about you but to me that seems like it's very bias. I can't actually read the thing as it's pay walled though. I honesty don't know what to believe anymore seems like everyone has a too big of a bias when it comes to US politics.

Why hasn't ABC released the real, unedited footage of what Amy Robach said if PV manipulated the footage to make Democrats look bad? Or are you saying Robach is in bed with PV trying to make Democrats look bad despite her official statement responding to the leak?
