So you're trying to blame Cuomo's fuckup in NY resulting in NY having the highest death rate worldwide, the collapsed economy resulting from states shutting down with no federal mandate to do so, and riots caused by what? A police incident in Minnesota on Trump? You're desperate for something to cling to, clearly. And since there's nothing illegal even in these alleged tax returns, that means that 4 years in, you still got nothing.

Typical trump supporter, your cult leader can do no wrong and all of americas problems are someone else's fault.

You are the worst type of apologist.

Well you just tried attributing 3 things to him that are completely unrelated. Typical TDS. What you're saying is Trump should have forced lock downs on all states whether they wanted to or not, completely crashed the economy while having no actual effect on death toll so you could say he manufactured a crisis to trample states rights, got a lot of people killed and REALLY wrecked the economy. Your narrative seems to contradict reality.

And lastly, this title claims "Trump organization" didn't pay "federal income taxes." in 10 of 15 years. Not only can you fail to point out any wrong doing, it also seems to neglect other taxes paid such as property taxes, state income taxes, payroll taxes, etc. So why is NYT leaving out state income taxes, property taxes, payroll taxes, and other taxes business owners pay? The fact they clearly cherry-picked to set up a narrative that he paid so little in taxes overall seems disingenuous at best, if not a ploy to get him to release real ones.

americas covid response is the worst in the world, this is a fact. Your excuses that the countries leader has nothing to do with a countries covid response is pitiful.

America's covid response was left up to the individual states to handle. The state which is by far the worse, with the highest death toll worldwide specifically demanded that the state be allowed to handle it on their own. He even fought about it publicly and made the claim Trump had no authority to do anything. Get your facts straight.

No. He stated a fact. Many of the deaths were attributed to Trump's mishandling as was Trump's horrible economy. I guess we can debate how many, but not that it happened. It did happen.

Here is the data showing that almost nothing you have said on this topic on Trump vs Corona ITT is accurate.

https://news.mit.edu/2020/masks-mandates-impact-deaths-0805

https://speier.house.gov/trump-administration-s-mishandling-of-the-coronavirus-response_2

https://www.statnews.com/2020/06/19/faster-response-prevented-most-us-covid-19-deaths/

Just one tiny snipet,

Our conclusions are strengthened by their consistency with the results from different methodologies. Two notable epidemiological projections, based on theoretical models of transmission and “idealized hypothetical assumptions,” have estimated that between 80% and 90% of American deaths could have been averted had lockdowns and social distancing begun two weeks earlier.

For a more granular perspective, we compared the American response to the actions taken by South Korea. By the time South Korea experienced its 15th confirmed case on Feb. 2, it had spearheaded a massive public information campaign, mobilized private sector players to produce testing kits, and expedited regulatory approval for these newly developed tests. Within a week, tests were widely available. Within three weeks, schools and public spaces were closed, large gatherings had been banned, and 26,000 people had been tested.

In contrast, President Trump consistentlyignored confidential and public early warnings from experts and intelligence agencies prior to the 15th confirmed U.S. case on Feb. 14, then acted far more slowly and inconsistently than South Korea. The White House banned flights from China on Feb. 2 but later permitted more than 40,000 travelers from China to enter the U.S. From February through April, President Trump madedismissiveandcontradictorystatements to which government agencies and the public paid close attention.

Often taking cues from the president’s words, state by state measures were rolled out piecemeal. Florida and Georgia, for example, waited until April 3 to issue stay-at-home orders while South Carolina held off until April 7.

Another crucial failure involved testing. Three weeks after the 15th Covid-19 case had been confirmed in the U.S., only about 10,000 tests had been administered. By an equivalent point in its epidemic, South Korea had administered approximately 17 times more tests per capita than the U.S. had done. This testing fiasco crippled vital early contact tracing efforts when hot spots could have been contained.

That's not to say Trump is the only one to blame. Cuomo did screw up at first as well. To say neither of these men erred is actually pretty insane.

It is front page news everywhere. Trump's team is scrambling to clean this huge mess up as we speak.

This should play well with American workers....

Trump spent more than $70,000 to style his hair when he was on 'The Apprentice' and wrote it off as a business expense: NYT

  • President Donald Trump spent more than $70,000 to style his hair — and wrote it off as a business expense — when he was on "The Apprentice," The New York Times reported Sunday.
  • The Times obtained decades of Trump's tax returns, compiling a much-anticipated report on Sunday that found the president had avoided paying federal income tax for much of the past two decades.
  • The bombshell report included the detail that Trump wrote off haircuts and styling as business expenses and also that nine Trump entities paid nearly $100,000 to Trump's daughter Ivanka's hair and makeup artist.
  • The Times found that Trump avoided paying federal income taxes for 10 of the past 15 years and paid just $750 in taxes in both 2016 and 2017.
  • The tax-return data also showed that Trump's businesses reported major losses and that he avoided paying income taxes "largely because he reported losing much more money than he made," the report said.
  • At a press conference on Sunday, Trump denied the Times report. "It's totally fake news. Made up, fake," he told reporters at the White House.

Lmao diva. What a scammer. Big swamp creature.

Putting this thread back on topic to the top US head lining news and moving away from debating on exactly how many people the Trump admin have killed due to their corona mess,

Tax bombshell reveals Trump's image is a sham

https://www.cnn.com/2020/09/28/politics/donald-trump-taxes-election-2020-joe-biden-debate/index.html

It was the moment when Donald Trump's "Art of the Deal" fabulism, billionaire tycoon bluster and populist standard-bearing for forgotten Americans was revealed to be what it always looked like: a sham.

A stunning New York Times exposé of the President's tax returns Sunday revealed a pitifully inept businessman and a serial tax avoider crushed by massive debts that could expose him to conflicts of interest given his position as President and power to help undisclosed lenders.New York Times: Trump paid no income taxes in 10 out of 15 years beginning in 2000Trump refused to talk about his tax returns and blasted the Times report as "totally fake news" on Sunday. But the article portrays the anti-elite crusader who rails against a corrupt system as actually using its loopholes to avoid paying any federal taxes at all in 10 of 15 years beginning in 2000 by writing off his own staggering losses. In 2016 and 2017 each, Trump paid just $750 in federal income taxes -- far less than many Americans who are working hard amid a deep recession to stay afloat. Trump took huge deductions -- including $70,000 to take care of his hair -- and also appeared to write off hundreds of thousands of dollars paying his daughter Ivanka as a consultant to the Trump Organization, according to the Times report. The story also reveals the extent to which Trump's status as President is being used to shore up his losing ventures — for example his hotel in Washington, DC, and his golf resorts.

Socialism for old rich white guys is "totally cool, it's not even illegal".

Socialism for poor black families "well that's too bad, it should be illegal".

GOP wondering why it's base is shrinking for anyone who isn't almost dead.

Seriously? Paying $1500 in taxes in15 years is okay?

If it's legal, then that's a problem with the law, not Trump.

I mean it's immoral as hell when people making 1% of what he makes pay 10,000% more in taxes....but again, if it's not illegal, the problem is with the law not Trump.

Tired of liberals thinking things like this will "get" Trump. I mean, I wish they would, but he is a slippery bastard. And frankly I think people are tired of it. Specifically the majority of moderates out there. It's like "Oh shit, did we get him? No? Oh, it's just another painful reminder of how the system is broken? ****"

One I'm not a liberal. To know is saying this will get trump. We're saying this is disgusting. And three he's being investigated by the IRS so it doesn't look like it's legal. Sorry your boy trump is so vile.

lol he is not "my boy" you should know me better than that by now. And I wasn't calling you a liberal that part of my comment was directed at liberals in general.

I doubt Trump did anything illegal. Just really scummy.

And it should reflect poorly on him.

Yup, and still no mention of state income taxes, payroll taxes, property taxes, or other business related taxes in the report. Again, assuming this leak is even legitimate. There's been no confirmation that it actually is.

Co-ordinate? Govern? Discuss? His job? You know......lead??

From your own article:

"Governors in the dark

The governors in the tri-state region, however, said they were in the dark about Trump’s possible quarantine. Cuomo said that while he spoke with the president Saturday morning, a quarantine didn’t come up during their discussions. New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy told reporters on Saturday that Trump did not bring up a possible quarantine when they spoke on Friday.

“Nothing like quarantine came up,” Murphy said. “I literally saw the story as I was walking into this room. I’ve got no more color on it.“

Connecticut Gov. Ned Lamont has said the tri-state governors are already implementing certain quarantine measures. Lamont said he wants to speak “to the president directly about his comments and any further enforcement actions, because confusion leads to panic.”"

Three governors, right there, saying they were in the dark. This strikes me like Trump and his administration have no coherent overall plan and if there even is, are not involving anyone at all in their decisions, and reactions like theirs sound like testament to a complete mess of overall strategy that is leading to nothing but confusion and chaos. Little wonder they push back. Is this at all surprising given that Trump has, in the past, made policy decisions out of the blue (such as the banning of transgenders to serve in the military) from Twitter that left those in his administration and the generals in the military reeling to catch up to for days after? We have seen, firsthand, the scatterbrained, impulsive, rash, and clusterfuck method of his governance. And yet you're going to blame everyone else?

Big surprise that someone who's in charge who is impulsive, erratic, who appears to brain fart out policy by tweet after his morning dose of Hannity is showing himself to be an abject failure when a true crisis arrives on our doorstep that requires a level of sophistication of governance and leadership that extends past 280 characters. I don't blame the states at all, I think Trump is fumbling around, incoherently, like the incompetent wrecking ball he is, and the states are doing their best to cope with the chaos of the inept, and the body count is the consequence.

Blame everyone else but Trump all you want. He is the president. YOUR president. And if it were Hillary, you know what you'd be parroting.

Anything else you'd like to add short of unconstitutional federally mandated lockdowns? It was left to governors to handle, and Cuomo fucked up when he put covid positive patients back into nursing homes. So if you're done with that derailment, I am still waiting for someone to explain why NYT didn't include the full tax returns they claimed to have.

As they take time to sift through and cherry pick data rather than release it for everyone to read for themselves. Seems legit.

Yeah, they will publish the various horrible details leading up to the election.

It is the right thing to do, the voters deserve to know the truth about trump and his dirty dealings.

Strange how stuff like this magically appears out of no where with nothing to back it up right before an election. Haven't seen this tatic ever before (heavy sarcasm here kiddos).

That is from the new york times article itself.

Here's the part out of it.

It was done? Oh I'm sorry, you're now evidencing Trump's competence through the testimony of those who you, in the previous breath (and in the above response), were just accusing and blaming? Your double standards and hypocrisy are beyond laughable.

200k bodies and growing lay testament to his complete failure and inept, bumbling leadership. Perhaps these governors wouldn't be so hostile to Trump if he attempted to unite instead of divide, if he didn't push a national crisis into partisan waters (accusing and threatening blue states), if he actually held a coherent, consistent plan instead of an impulsive one. Then I very much doubt you would be hearing conflicting testaments from these governors at all, and your pathetic hypocrisy wouldn't be so apparent.

Again, blame everyone else, just like the idol you worship and can see no wrong in, ever. Trump is in charge and is ultimately responsible, and everyone who isn't delusional in their partisanship knows it and can see it.

So where's the illegal stuff?

Straw-Man. That was never the main claim of this incredibly damning report.

It is front page news everywhere. Trump's team is scrambling to clean this huge mess up as we speak.

This should play well with American workers....

Trump spent more than $70,000 to style his hair when he was on 'The Apprentice' and wrote it off as a business expense: NYT

https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/trump-spent-more-than-dollar70000-to-style-his-hair-when-he-was-on-the-apprentice-and-wrote-it-off-as-a-business-expense-nyt/ar-BB19tJAp?li=BBnb7Kz

What is so damning in that report?

I listed some of the damming stuff in bullet points for you.

Please try reading next time.

I read the NYT article. Find a valid source refuting it, not twitter.

So you do not trust New York Times as a source? Because that clip in the Twitter was taken directly from the article I linked you to. Go read it for yourself.

I see no quote in NYT saying the $750 was merely an additional to other massive taxes payed. This feels like Pizza gate inferences based off a tweet.

"Lets not investigate the shady behavior, lets investigate the person who outed the shady behavior."

^The last 4 years of Trumpers. Also the far right lead DOJ to investigate NYT would be a disaster.
