80 hospitalized according to the link. I have taken a moment to pray for all the victims. Attacks like this benefit no one. Pres. Trump has immediately come out in support to Spain offering whatever assistance we can.

I hate how frequent events like this are nowadays, it serves no real purpose other than causing suffering to innocent people. I hope the injured will make good recoveries, and my heart goes out to the dead and their loved ones.

This is a tragedy and I hope that the injured recover, and I hope that the family of the deceased are able to find peace.

Seriously, people are dead. And certain people here are seemingly more interested in using this event to justify their own agenda rather than showing sympathy for those injured and killed.

Ya, i've heard a nordic company is implementing a form of deadman switch which is registered to the driver and no one else, but problem there is if the driver is the culprit.

@tjandmia: Personally I'm fine with discussing the political implications of a terrorist attack, particularly in a political forum but this was in Spain. Let's not make wild, unsubstantiated claims that do more to make ourselves look stupid than anything else.

Anyways this is the sort of thing that is all around terrible. There's not much than can be done about it, and the options that people jump to such as war or bombing tends to make things worse in the long run.
