There was no reason for this raid. The Trump Administration has been complying with every request fror Muller. There were no election laws violated according to the former head of the election bureau. If it was about Russian collusion why hasn't Hillary and the DNC been raided. If Trump did something wrong he should suffer the for it. If the law is applied equally he will have a lot of company form the other side.

A court granting the authority to raid a lawyers office always comes with extremely strong evidence and justification.

what ruling? The confidentiality is not absolute, and the US attorneys have procedures for getting warrants for such information. In addition, to receive the warrant they'd have had to show sufficient evidence to a judge that a search warrant for such information was necessary. And not everything in the lawyer's office and hotel are covered by privilege/confidentiality.

It doesn't say that Mueller has no longer an interest. What it does however say is

Which pretty much means that he sees him as a "suspect" or "Person of interest" but there aren't enough evidence to charge him with something so far into the investigation.
