Considering the majority of illegals come in legally the wall is a waste of time and money. But go ahead and listen to the tweets of a mad man for your education. It will serve well.

They're not illegals if they enter the country on legal terms (immigration, work visas, etc)

If they over extend their visits, they are breaking the laws, hence they become illegals

I kind of wish it was a straight up scam and no one was getting their money back. My heart definitely does not go out to people who send their money to create a monument to their own xenophobia.

If someone breaks into your house, I am going to make an assumption you would protect yourself (its a big assumption based your previous cuck lord responses). If you do, you're xenophobic!!!!!! What if the person is just trying to gather food for their poor family?? and now you're preventing the person from having a better life! You're so xenophobic!!!!!!!!!!!

Please do yourself a favor, and try to understand the analogy.

Wishing for this gofundme to end up being a scam demonstrates your lack of a moral character. You wish millions of hard earned dollars to be stolen because of political differences. You are a coward. Nothing more, nothing less.

Which is literally exactly what he said. They entered legally, but are now illegal immigrants. Hence the majority of current illegal immigrants entered then country legally. This isn't that hard to understand.

And to those saying this is separate issue, you're completely missing the point. It's absolutely insane to spend ~20 billion on a wall when it wouldn't affect the majority of our illegal immigrants. That's the main point. Nobody is saying people running across the border shouldn't be stopped, but it sure as hell isn't worth ~20 billion dollars to stop.

It is not insane at all, considering the tax revenue is estimated to be 3.42 trillion for fiscal year 2019

https://www.thebalance.com/current-u-s-federal-government-tax-revenue-3305762

so PLEASE tell me how 20 billion is too much.

They ARE separate issues. By building a wall, this adds an increased level of difficulty for illegals to enter the nation. It adds an extra layer of security to prevent those who want quick access to the US. Will illegals still cross? sure they will. Nothing in this world is guaranteed to work 100% of the time. But adding a wall plus security measures will decrease the number.

People overstaying their stay is a separate issue. They are already inside the host nation, and refuse to leave. No border wall will fix this issue. You know what will? Policies. Such as having immigrants on work visas have their access to bank accounts shut off after their visa expires. This is just an example.

Are either of these examples going to work 100% of the time? Absolutely not. That never was the point, but they will have a positive impact on decreasing the number of illegals entering the nation by walking freely across the border, and the amount of illegals overstaying their visit.

The argument is that the 20 billion is better spent on things that are actually problems in the U.S. Insane healthcare costs, public welfare, violent crime, infrastructure. The wall is completely not worth the cost since it'll be essentially ineffective.

illegal immigrants costs taxpayers over $100b per year

https://www.fairus.org/issue/publications-resources/fiscal-burden-illegal-immigration-united-states-taxpayers

violent crime? Illegals commit a disproportionate higher amount of it.

https://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2018/jan/26/illegals-commit-crimes-double-rate-native-born-stu/

Health care costs? 7 out of 10 top medicare costs are in large, linked to diet and exercise issues.

https://healthpayerintelligence.com/news/top-10-most-expensive-chronic-diseases-for-healthcare-payers

sorry buddy, taking a one time fee of $20b for a wall into all these issues that can be resolved through diet change, and keeping illegals out, is not a good idea.

@Toxic-Seahorse: yeah but you could make the argument about spending tax dollars by using anything funded by the government, id also like to see those things focused on more than foreign aid or a giant military budget. Foriegn aid is way more expensive than funding our border security.

True, but that can be dealt with much easier than people who come over the border.

Just have the whole police out looking for them?

Also the fact that,

THE FACTS: A wall can’t do much about that when drug trafficking is concentrated at land ports of entry, not remote stretches of the border.

It's almost as what US should do is funding the current agencies that deal with securing the border better.

You know what they say: money talks. And the people have spoken. Clearly people like the idea of the wall (well, some people...) but not everyone actually wants the wall.

@LJS9502_basic: I'm sure they have an accurate count of who came across the border illegally ?.

And if they came up with stricter regulation to send those back overstaying their visas you would oppose that too.

Some people that support the wall already knew ahead of time that the US Treasury couldn’t legally take the money and use it specifically to build the wall, so they didn’t waste their money. You can donate to the US Government, but your donations would do little more than pay down on the current national debt.

The wall wasn’t the first attempt for private citizens to fund parts of the government that they like, people have previously donated other government causes that they liked separate from their tax dollars; the cause of getting more refugees admitted into the country via paying for faster vetting and integration of them was one recent cause.

Even with that in mind, the fact that they got as much as they did was either remarkable or pathetic depending on what side of the aisle you are on.

Well they are but not directly. When they didn't agree to pay for the wall, Trump has added tariffs onto Mexico and now they will pay more than the $5 billion. That is really art of the deal.

That is actually not what republicans think. We understand that people do this. However, we know that a wall is very effective in stopping a lot of illegal immigration. Go keep thinking there are more than two genders democrat.

The US spends hundreds of Billions a year on immigration and the democrats are complaining about $5 billion. Also the reason the democrats do not want to give Trump the $5 billions is because he is Trump. It has nothing to do with the money. Obama was given over $40 billion to help secure to border but now that Trump is there no one wants to cave in because the democrats will seem like they were defeated. This is the reason why the democratic party is suffering and everyone laughing at them.

Same reason Republicans didn't want to Obamacare to pass, because it was Obama. Newflash it's called - politics. The reality is that both sides are wrong on this issue, but Trump is to blame more. He promised Mexico was going to pay, now its the U.S taxpayers - he had 2 years to push this issue forward and in fact was going to sign the new legislation passed by both republicans and democrats until conservite media hammered him and he flipped.

True, but that can be dealt with much easier than people who come over the border.

But I thought Mexico was going to pay for it? So much for your god - Trump - art of the deal.

Well they are but not directly. When they didn't agree to pay for the wall, Trump has added tariffs onto Mexico and now they will pay more than the $5 billion. That is really art of the deal.

I love this post.

I love it too. Its like Trump has some way to make their base spew vomit inducing lies.

How is this lies? Has Trump done this or not? If Trump was able to come up with a cure for cancer, you democrats will still hate him and come up with some excuse.

The US spends hundreds of Billions a year on immigration and the democrats are complaining about $5 billion. Also the reason the democrats do not want to give Trump the $5 billions is because he is Trump. It has nothing to do with the money. And the piss of shit ObamaCare did pass and was the worst thing for a President to do in quite some time. And if we look at the money Mexico is now being taxed on tariffs thanks to Trump, and what we are paying for the wall we are still coming out ahead. How do you not understand that? And you are also talking about almost a trillion dollars due to Obamacare and $5 billion fore Trump. This is way different.

I love this line of thinking. Something else costs more, therefore, this shouldn't matter. There's always a bigger fish!

I have an idea, let's apply this to a real world scenario:'Your paycheck is probably a good size every two weeks, so what's $100 bucks? Can you spot me that much for free? After all it's nothing compared to your other expenses!'

* (Ignoring every other argument for or against the wall) *

@HoolaHoopMan: not what I am saying at all. I am sayin that I believe the wall can cut some of the costs of on the money we spend on illegal immigration and would again pay for itself.

We'd spend much more on the wall and upkeep of said wall and have the exact same issues we have today. Seriously read information not from the right.

Listen, I'm an independent - you're a racist conservative. Wether Obamacare was good or bad, is irrelevant. It was a political issue for democrats, but Republicans simply didn't like the guy either. I'm just opening your uneducated and closed mind to understand that this is stricly an issue with partisanship.

Also your uneducated mind didn't answer my question. In December republicans and democrats signed a bi-partisan deal which increased border security by billions -Trump said he would sign it - out of nowhere he backed out of it in the last minute, now republicans also don't want the same legislation they passed. So tell me why?

@blackballs: so now I am a racist and uneducated. Explain to me how I am a racist. Is it because I do not want illegal immigrants here, is it because I want people to come over the right and lawful way? And trust me, I am educated enough to pay more in taxes than you make all year.

Oh the whole, "I'm supposedly rich look at me, I have so many fake stocks." Please, your broke ass has nothing like most republicans especially from the south - welfare is all you guys get. Also, are you going to answer my question or not? I'm posting it again:

@blackballs: you call me racist and uneducated and won’t answer my questions so I won’t answer yours. And you can assume I’m broke or don’t have money. Think what you want but I pay a lot of money for taxes and hate to see it going to pay for people who aren’t here legally.

I read information from several sources none of which are political pieces. You are uneducated. Susceptible to propaganda. And proud of it. Congrats.

@LJS9502_basic: how am I uneducated? You know nothing about me. And when you do not agree with me, you resort to calling me uneducated because that is all you have left. I probably pay more in taxes than you make all year so I did something right with my life. Keep living on the struggle and playing the victim, believing in feelings over fact, and that there are more than 2 genders like the rest of your democratic friends. Sounds like you and the Democrats are the ones uneducated.

From reading your posts I can see a total lack of knowledge on the subject. And ad hominem attacks aside...........and you can bet you DON'T make more money because you wouldn't have to state it if you did......you've tried that childish attack several times now on different people here.........you have only parroted far right talking points.

@LJS9502_basic: your arguments are stupid. When I post things that are correct and accurate, your last resort is uneducated as you can’t prove me wrong. Then you say that if I had money, I wouldn’t say it???? Why wouldn’t I, why couldn’t I? I can do whatever I want as this uneducated idiot makes more than you who is educated and has their life together. Lol

I posted that question before I called you uneducated and racist. You never answered it. Of course you're avoiding it because it pretty much collapses your whole argument - A bi-partisan bill that the president was going to sign but because the manbaby didn't get his milk he did a 180 and now he's blaming the other side... because?

It is. At least Jacanuck is somewhat intelligible with some factual arguments. This guy is reading off some alt-right website, without any real facts. He can't even answer my question. Very sad.

You can't even answer my questions so why should I answer yours. You get destroyed in an argument and then result to name calling like the rest of the democrats because you don't even know what you want. Should I insert NPC meme soon?

The person who started this gofundme had good intentions but the government could never accept money like that. It still sent a powerful message that Americans want the wall.
