"That charge doesn't go away any time soon" Jake Tapper on CNN just said that, and he is totally right. Trump has to deal with supporting and endorsing an alleged child molester come 2018 and 2020.
I remember feeling the same way about a month and a year ago. I know what it feels like to desperate, vanishing hope. Its awful. I honestly feel bad for them.

No doubt about it: Major, metro Alabama and the Black Belt came through for Jones. Voters in rural white counties didn’t move much towards Jones, but they utterly failed to turn out for Moore.
Of all Alabama senate races since 1990, only the 2014 race, in which Jeff Sessions ran uncontested, saw a higher share of write-in votes.
With 97 percent of precincts reporting, Jones has a margin of 0.7 points over Moore, and the share of write-in votes is more than double that, at around 1.7 percent.

This is why ANY republican backing Moore on a political tactics angle was a stupid idea anyway. Moore was *never* a reliable vote for establishment GOPers [he could easily vote against anything that shows up in Congress], likewise Jones *HAS* to vote with the GOP at least *some* of the time if he has any chance of winning re-election. Choosing Moore for the senate vote while completely sacrificing their moral authority was never going to be anywhere close to worth it.

I wouldn't use this election as a sign of things to come considering that Jones' opponent had several sexual allegations against him, and he probably would have lost if he ran against a stronger opponent that wasn't an alleged pedophile.
I’ve been to a lot of celebrations for winning candidates. But this one (I’m at the Jones party in Birmingham) is something. Jones supporters were dancing in celebration here at the Birmingham Sheraton after the screen in the ballroom showed CNN calling the race for him. They played “Happy” by Pharrell Williams.
Kind of befitting the Jones coalition, the crowd of Jones supporters was about one quarter black women in hats and about a quarter young hipsters, with a lot of older whites also in attendance.

Considering the way things are going, there isn't going to be a politician alive in washington who don't have several sexual allegation against them.

I can't blame them. Honestly it was a lose-lose situation for them anyways. If Moore won they would keep their slim majority a little bigger, but then they would have to have a pedophile in their ranks and democrats could hit them with that fact anytime, all the time.

Well true the Republicans have been losing local elections as well. I think Americans woke up to the trump problem.
Congratulations to Doug Jones on a hard fought victory. The write-in votes played a very big factor, but a win is a win. The people of Alabama are great, and the Republicans will have another shot at this seat in a very short period of time. It never ends!

The reason I originally endorsed Luther Strange (and his numbers went up mightily), is that I said Roy Moore will not be able to win the General Election. I was right! Roy worked hard but the deck was stacked against him!
