We now live in a police state. The question is to what degree. The NY City DA is going after on Trump for an alleged crime that the statue of limitations has expired. The alleged crime is a federal crime that the DOJ dismissed. This same DA fought to get Trump's tax returns to get Trump, but Trump had done nothing wrong. This is strictly political right out of the Soviet Union where the premise was show me a person and I will show you a crime. People are all jumping for joy on the left because it is Trump. What happens when you are in the barrel and the corupt individuals come after you. I suggest you all read the Gulag Archipelago by Alexander Scholnitzin. If Trump is indicted he will probably be convicted not because he committed a crime but because the trial will be held in NY. He will then have to be vindicated in the appeals court.

I have no issue with encouraging people to protest.

But given the context of recent history and how Trump's side of things tends to protest, I'm thinking the FBI and local law enforcement should be on high alert.

Anyway, Trump won't be arrested. He won't be put in handcuffs. His army of lawyers will see to that.

I do look forward to the day we actually get to the point where Trump (and company) do actually need to set literally foot in court room. That's when things tend to go poorly, when they actually need to show up.

....and the fact remains, had Trump not told one single lie about the election being stolen and riled people up into an emotional frenzy in the delusion that their democracy was being taken from them, those people would still be alive, wouldn't they? You can try to hide behind myopia in the specifics of their deaths, but the snowball started with Trump. Had he never lied, they'd very likely be alive today, or at least they'd not be dead in the manner that befell them. You cannot dodge that.

Which, again, doesn't mitigate the footage that was shown. It wasn't a peaceful, police-escorted guided tour of the Capitol, no matter how hard you and Tucker are trying to push this propaganda. I've seen the footage myself, and it's all I need to see. No amount of any other footage, regardless of its context, damage controls that.
