So the former leader of the Ontario PC's who I mentioned in my previous thread about the Ontario PC's decided to join the current leadership race to get his former job back.
This is after he got kicked out of the Ontario PC caucus early yesterday.
He popped up from where he was hiding recently to publicly fight the sexual misconduct allegations against him.

Excerpt from the article above.
Ousted former Progressive Conservative leader Patrick Brown is running again for the right to battle Premier Kathleen Wynne in the June 7 election — even though he has been banished from the Tory caucus at Queen’s Park.
In a bizarre twist to a saga that has plunged the official opposition Conservatives into further chaos, Brown on Friday filed the paperwork to join the PC leadership race, prompting rivals to blast his stunning decision.
“I think my name has been cleared and now it’s about getting Ontario back on track,” Brown proclaimed as he led reporters and cameras on a chase down the stairs at party headquarters and along Adelaide St. to a taxi.
He said the party has been “hijacked” and his People’s Guarantee election platform abandoned.
There were also rumors being spread that Patrick Brown might want to get his old job back after he resurfaced earlier this week.
It is incredibly rare for a leader of a politcal party in Canada who resigns as leader of a political party to fight for their old job back. The fact that Brown made the decision to campaign for his old job back so soon is really impressive.
Finally, Brown brings the total number of candidates in this Ontario PC leadership race to 5. 4 out of the 5 candidates have yet to meet the requirements to officially run in the race.
and FWIW, technically, @celliottability, @TGranicAllen, & @fordnation have also NOT yet been green-lit to run for @OntarioPCParty leader because they are not nominated candidates for the election. @C_Mulroney is nominated & has been cleared to run for leader. #onpoli#PCPOLdr
