For the past 21 years, especially after September 11, 2001. Okay? Especially on Staten Island and parts of Texas, etc.

Some say that the cops should have went in and did something, some say no, they could have been shot....the whole thing was a tragedy.

Cops are first responders. Run to the trouble, don't wait outside. That is the job. Do something and don't wait till the gunman runs out of bullets, because it may be way too late. Yes, there are heroes in all types of first responders, but just because you are a cop doesn't mean you are hero. One becomes a hero through action, not inaction.

Hard to trust police these days. In democratic countries (US, UK) and totalitarian (China, Russia) alike.

When the Parkland shooting happened and that one cop who is now in trouble for failing to act, you'd think with all the media attention that got, I'd imagine that should have been something everyone in law enforcement would have reflected on and made clear the expectations of what they should do if placed in a similar situation. In a way I kind of understand the Parkland officer's hesitancy more than I do with multiple officers on the scene doing nothing especially after that one from Parkland being made an example out of.

Anyhow, the fact they lied about a resource officer exchanging fire with the shooter when that never happened and taking over an hour to engage the suspect is certainly going to get a whole lot of people in trouble, even more so when they put more effort into pepper spraying and slapping handcuffs on concerned parents. And some parents managed to get past cops and get in there and get their kids out while they still did nothing, that just looks teally bad. I imagine now nobody is going to believe anything those police officers say and people will probably demand more transparency about what actually transpired.

The reality is, if you ever face a moment in your life where you really need a cop to be around, chances are they won't be. And even if you get a call out to them, you'd be lucky if they got there in 20 minutes.

As for the shooting in Texas, it seems police failed on a few levels in that situation. And if they try to say they were waiting for someone to come and deal with body armor or something, then they're BSing you. a few consecutive shots to roughly the same area, even a handgun will go through most body armor.

Cops are worthless, they don't give a shit about people and are not legally bound to protect people from danger.

The reputation of law enforcement just keeps getting worse and worse.

Instead of dealing with the crime, they are preventing their parents from helping,

And it isnt just the US police that is awful, remember when the israeli police disrupted the funeral of a journalist they most likely assassinated a while back?

That's quite the derogatory statement to be applying to an entire group of anyone.
