I wouldn't mind watching it, but for some reason, the first thing that came to mind after hearing about this was the movie C.S.A.: The Confederate States of America.
In the case of CSA, it was criticized for some of the things that took place that seemed unlikely if the south really did win, such as the Confederates annexing the northern states after they won the war rather than remain a separate nation. It would be interesting to see how they try to make this series seem semi-realistic, with legal (state-sanctioned) human slavery similar to what happened in America before the end of the Civil War being almost nonexistent in the modern world. Slavery does still exist in some forms, but you won't find too many countries openly admitting to it if they aren't doing anything to stop it.
Also, I've seen how people on both sides have opposed it. Some people on the left have opposed it because they said there is absolutely no way they could tastefully portray slavery in the modern day even if the goal of the show is to make the slave owners look like monsters, and some people on the right feel that the makers of the show will try to make it look like white conservatives in real life wish that slavery still existed, or will try to make sly comparisons to the Confederate slave owners and real-life conservatives (or Trump supporters to be more specific).
