https://www.politico.com/story/2019/08/16/beto-orourke-buyback-gun-1466128

"Part of a proposal to address gun violence and white nationalism, O’Rourke said that, if enacted, anyone who failed to forfeit a banned assault weapon would be fined."

All you gun owners who are minorities, dont worry, the government will fine you too. Its all part of the good fight of stopping white nationalism..... lmao

Biden recently also went on about his ideas for a mandatory gun buy back program on CNN. Im a fan of Colion Noir so i will share his response to Bidens comments on CNN.

Tim Pool also did a good job going over recent comments by both candidates, he suspects Biden's comment is just a gaffe, possible since hes seem to have at least 4 a day...

@tenaka2: not to mention people sign up for the military straight out of high school, if you can go die for your country with an actual military weapon in your teens, then if you are law abiding you should be allowed to purchase a non military weapon at 18. Hypocrisy at its fullest.

So do we support the people who want to do something, or the people who look at mass shootings and go, "Meh."?

My grandfather and father taught me how to hunt rabbits, deer, turkey, birds, all kinds of stuff while growing up, i loved it! I also know how to gut, skin, and cook it all as well.

That must really freak you out, you goofy suburbanite .

Not overly nitpicking but how would it be a "buy back" when the government didn't own the firearms in the first place? Robert is just talking out his ass as he doesn't know his ass from a hole in the ground when it comes to firearms.

What I'd ask him if given the opportunity is whether or not he'd (not that he has a chance in hell of becoming President) have the Secret Service guard him with firearms outside of the "assault weapon" and full auto family of firearms. My guess would be NO because the elite deserve rights and such that the common folk should have eliminated.

Well once you have a family tradition of killing animals its a small price to pay that school kids get shot dead on a regular basis. Seems that does not freak you out at all cowboy.

Democrats and liberals need to change their tune. There are simply too many guns in circulation (far more guns in this country than people, last time I checked) to "get rid of all guns".

Need to change who can get what guns.

Do drunk drivers scare you from getting on the road?

Do you want to outlaw candy out of fear of diabetes?

If someone is murdered with a knife, does that make all people who still want to own a knife enablers of murder??

and at least i know how to kill and eat an animal, most of the people that scoff at hunters shop at their local trader joes / whole foods and eat meat that has come from abused and caged animals that waddle in thier own shit all the way to the slaughterhouse.

You bet me to it. He must be in the dark when it comes to a slaughterhouse and how the animals are treated compared with hunting. Ever see some of the people working in those places?

@Solaryellow: Ive been inside a Tysons chicken processing plant, the immediate smell can induce vomiting, hunting is a way better way to get meat. Plus you have to earn it yourself.

I actually have a close friend whos a vegan and he told me he has alot more respect for hunters than the people that just buy it it at the store. it helps with animal population control and preserving crops as well. Hunting is a good thing, i learned gun safety at a very young age. I actually think its best to teach kids about guns at a young age, so they know the seriousness of what it means.

Most stories of young kids who shoot a friend or family member on accident is because they see it as a toy, they are never taught what it really is. Ive heard from many old heads that when they were in high school, target shooting was a coarse offered in most high schools.

Some still have programs, but its no where near as common.

@joebones5000: Why don't you name some of those examples? And make sure it involves a country with over 400 million guns already in circulation. Because when we do that gun control doesn't work so well.

Exactly, this is a strange move by Biden who should know better, but I got a feeling this is just a move to play into the far-left democrats to get them onboard the Biden Train, considering he has been losing a lot of points in the polls.

Truth be told, banning all assault weapons would hardly put a death in total gun deaths in this country. Handgun deaths are far higher.

Since the assault weapons ban ended, murders with assault rifles like the AR15 have increased. Up 70% from 2013 - 2017 alone.

Compare that to total gun deaths. I'm all for banning assault weapons, but it's not going to put much of a dent in total gun deaths. Most gun homicides are not from assault weapons.

@joebones5000: You are comparing Japan with the US? A nation with a small fraction of the guns we have and a completely different culture? You are absolutely delusional.

Notice how the vast majority of gun deaths are Yakuza related. Meaning gangs still use them. Now imagine the US where we have far more gang members, criminals and guns and imagine how that would work.

Oh, the old "criminals with guns" fallacy. Sorry to break it to you, but in every example we have, when guns are scarce for the public, that also includes criminals.

Huh hows is that working with the drug war? Pretty hard to buy drugs in this country right? Prohibition worked out well also?

Good. The only place guns have in a civilized society is in the hands of the military. The fallacy that you need a gun for self defense is completely absurd.

The guns were granted to the citizens by the Second Amendment mainly to protect the citizens from the government. The actions by the left recently and in the past have made it clear the founding fathers were wise beyond their years.

@vfighter: same! i also started with bb guns, got a small .22 rifle by the time i was 6-7 for Christmas. Its not that crazy lol but i guess people grow up with different experiences. I could see how someone would think that's weird if they never grew up around guns... But that's what bugs me the most about these peoples views, they talk the most about banning them without ever using them...
