Christian's and Republicans everywhere offer their thoughts and prayers, shrug their shoulders and then forget about it.

Obviously this is a person that is mentally disturbed, not a thug, an animal, or a radical.

Another isolated internet weirdo from the pedo-incel corner of the internet known as 8chan.

If I’m the director of the FBI, I’m parking agents permanently on those boards with the sole purpose of putting real names to those profiles.

In a Q-and-A style section of his letter, Earnest eschews a single political ideology, asserting that he does not support President Trump because of his support for Israel.

You are free to assume he is lying and is a MAGA hat-wearing deplorable covering for his GEOTUS, but that doesn’t mean it is true. They got him alive so he can be further questioned about his motives and most of his responses will probably be made public eventually.

How quickly people jumped on this because it could be used to attack Trump and gun rights versus the lack of attention Sri Lanka got because it involved bombs and extremists attacking Christians, I mean “Easter Worshippers” shows the real purpose of certain people highlighting these tragedies.

See what I mean about conservatives and Christian's not caring?

Not a single Trump sucker that has responded to this thread has said anything about what happened.

It was just whining about victimization and an attempt to deflect off topic.

The pro life party indeed.

If you yourself cared you would have tried to gather the facts as well as give your condolences to the victims in this thread. Instead, you titled your thread to immediately blame racist Trump supporters before facts came out about the shooter and then you mocked people that would offer prayers to the victims.

Now, you’re trying to turn it around and make the people that don’t think the same as you politically as the bad guys. It may work here since most of the people that post here hate Trump, but in most other places you would get called out by multiple people for your obvious intentions with this thread that have little to do with actual sympathy for the victims.

No but these right wingers who carry out these mass shootings use antisemitic conspiracy theories that Trump has spread.

The Tree of Life synagogue shooter was rambling about Jews bringing in illegals, that same week so were GOP. Including Trump, saying Soros was funding caravans.

True, but in the end it doesn't really matter: Trump and his GOP are the party of hate, and that's enough for the hateful.

Obviously the jews, then. Definitely not thousands of South and Central Americans spending every possession they own to escape.

That's the bind we're in. The GOP is spreading propaganda and statements which feed these groups, but they want to maintain deniability via pointing out ideological match imperfections of varying degrees. Those mismatches don't absolve them of their role in feeding the other ideological portions or the hate which drives them.

There are simply bad people out there that will do bad things from all walks of life. Are we going to blame all Muslims over the Sri Lanka attacks (which got almost no coverage in this forum other than a single thread with half of the posts talking about how they wish religion would be wiped off the face of the Earth)? Are we going to blame all Doom players for the Columbine shooting that happened 20 years ago?

Probably not, but it’s okay to blame the GOP for a 19-year old anti-Semite who claims he hates Trump because of how friendly he is with Israel. Look at how much criticism the New York Times is getting over their cartoon of Trump and the Israeli Prime Minister as a dog they recently deleted. The cartoon was obviously made to show how they think Trump is too cozy with Israel.

It’s probably easier to just blame guns so we can push for stronger gun laws than to try and pin this on the GOP, who is usually criticized for being too friendly to Israel. Considering how much controversy certain icons for the left such as Rep. Omar are getting over alleged anti-Semitism, you would assume that they would get more of the blame. Instead, the person that created this thread immediately blamed racist Trump supporters for the shooting and then mocked the idea of praying for the victims.

It's not about blame, it's about identifying causes and solutions. But we've painted ourselves into a corner. We can't prevent these with gun control because it's a slipperly slope. We can't prevent them with improved mental health and social programs because that costs money. We can't address the rhetoric that feeds these groups because it will target the GOP leaders who use the same language.

What's curious is the faux outrage over a shooting rather than also showing a deep concern for the people murdered this month in chicago, the person killed in Baltimore yesterday afternoon during a cookout, etc..,

You can "address the rhetoric" all you like, just don't use robots with no ability to understand context to autoban people.

This is the result of churnalism. Even the original author was trying to keep people from running wild with it

but people did run with it, because it feeds a narrative. That's why there are over a dozen articles with thousands of shares, telling a fake story that has "absolutely no basis in fact" according to Twitter, while the article by The Hill, that gets actual comments and context from Twitter, has less than 100 shares.

Guess people don't like the truth when it isn't nearly as salacious

Trump isn't pushing or emboldening hate. People lash out when they feel like nothing can be done, and that alienation tends to happen because of bigoted left.

This is one of the dumbest thing's I have ever heard.

Right Wing Terrorism (which made up almost all of Domestic terrorism last year) and hate crimes/groups are all on the rise because of the left is alienating people? It's the lefts fault Republicans are killing people now? So because your ideas are unpopular on twitter (or nationally going by any poll), you get to shoot everyone? Yikes.

Not to mention shear stupidity of the left... oh you believe in borders? You must be a racist!

This sentence was completely off-topic, but I agree with you. People who say believing in borders is racist are dumb.

@zaryia: Not sure who was responsible for it. But someone did fund the caravans.

Soros isn't directly funding the caravans. He's just funding one of the parent groups that are funding them.

You sound like the Tree of Life shooter. Been listening to Trump or GOP talk radio? He sure did.
