Very cool, I am happy to hear it will be coming to PS3. Even though we won't get all the sweet mods that will no doubt be made I'm sure it'll be a fun romp!
That would be interesting, I haven't actually played any of the games, but have read some of the books and like the overall dark theme associated with them.
Mostly pessimistic, not that I want to be but these dungeon crawlers, click-point games IMO work best on the PC. I'm sure it will be great whichever console it's on but just for the control layout, when it releases, I'll be getting it for PC.
If they (Blizzard) offer a keyboard & mouse option on the PS3, I'm all over it! If not, I'm sticking to my original plan. Upgrade to a new rig that meets & exceeds the requirements of Diablo III & Starcraft II plus take a month long, paid vacay to play the game when it comes out!
i'd much rather play it on PC. however, unlike other more graphically intensive titles, there's no reason why Diablo 3 can't be properly ported to PS3.
I just trust Blizzard had a lot development with the game being P C exclusive from the beginning so they won't scrap it and dumb it down, i'd rather have them keep it in development as PC exclusive and then port it to consoles with a tweaked interface or something. A lot of hermits were really complaining about this fact but they don't complain when Halo and Gears come to PC.
Considering how the graphics look, i would think that the PS3 could handle it. Although you'd prob have to redo the contorls to just moving with stickinstead of clicking.
I think it should come to the PS3 and offer a control setup that works well, but both the PS3 and 360 support full Keyboard and mouse support so why also not have diablo 3 for the console that uses the K/M and have it playing just like the PC but on my 50" project
Honestly not a fan of the genre. Gave Dungeon Siege III a whirl, which I'll admit is obviously no Diablo, and couldn't even force myself to finish it. Personally, I'd rather a game like Skyrim or The Witcher over Diablo any day of the week.
Could it happen? Possibly, considering the original was ported (somewhat unsuccesfully) to the PS1. I hope it does end up on the PS3 though for those interested in the game who don't own a decent rig.
If they added Move support they could get more of a KB&M effect. It would be the ultimate excuse to buy one of those (and a nav controller). Make it a bundle. I'll buy it.

I few people on these trips of forums are saying that they enjoyed it on the PSX and plus its been along time since then i think they will do alot better job at it
i have a midrange PC and i can play it just fine with most settings on high, I'm about 8 hours in so far and loving it, definitely would be insanely clunky on PS3 or any console unless you use KB/M
