I've played over 300 hours of Oblivion on PS3 and 360. I've just started playing the PC version. So yeah I've played 1 single player game a hell of a lot more than any other game (online or not). TBH I much prefer single player games. I play online games now and then but people just get too worked up for no reason. :)
i played multiplayer games online for less than 1 hour in fact, if i add up all the time i played games online this gen (excluding pc) it wont be over 1 hour.
I don't play online at all.. only play single player. The only online i've played is the BF:BC demo and the BF3 demo.. loved both (shame they took the servers offline for the BF:BD demo, and the BF3 demo is a 30 min timed demo, no where near enough). Still haven't bought either, but i plan too eventually. Then i'll probably start playing online.
I only play the multiplayer after I finish the single player at the most difficult or second most difficult difficulty. Just to add replay value to the game and not have to buy a new game every month.
im not a big fan of online gaming, what ive found is on most the games i own such as UFC, FIFA and virtua tennis people just quit when losing. Also i normally have my two young children in room with me so I am very stop/start which you cant do online either.
I do play Saints Row 2 on single player on my own I never play with anyone else but it's the only game I spend playing online doing the team deathmatches or the team missions.
As a single player game I'm actually enjoying Eat Lead at the moment I don't care much for online to many bad losers like I never play the SVR games online to many cheaters.
I always play SP games more than MP games. inFamous, Uncharted, MGS4, DMC4 - I'm always replaying these games. But even the best multiplayer bores me within a few days.
You know that amazing online multiplayer mode that received oodles of praise everywhere for Resistance 2? I pretty much ignored it to play the single player multiple times. Single player > Multiplayer any day of the week.
