Damn you to hell sony, yet another reason to sell the ps3!!!!!!! I love Virtua Fighter 5 and now it's online for only the 360... sooooo tired of all this B.S.
I think we knew that from the beginning, that's why sales were so slow for it. Now, it's only 40 bucks. Who knows, it could still be an add on later for the PSN.
I was about to make a thread bout this. glad I saw this first. But yea, this is really lame. I always am playing VF 5 against the computer and I want to dish out some pain online. Very bad move by Sega.
Yep this isyet more ammunition for 360 loyalists to through it back in PS3 fans faces. All will be forgiven if online play will eventually be added to the PS3 version of the game for free orat the most a small fee. If not though, be prepared to get flamed on by 360 fanboys. Man can Sony for once have aSolid string of good news this it getting ridiculous.
I think something will be released on PSN allowing us to play online. If they do release this...I'll run (not walk) to my nearest Bestbuy and pick up VF5. Online play was the reason why I didn't buy it.
I agree Sega most likely is the one to blame, but unfortunately because VF5 is a game that's available for the PS3. It's alway's going to be associated with Sony and the PS3, and now of course the 360. So 360 fanboys, and critics all ready have in a demented sort of way have a reason to blame Sony and the PS3.
Meh, i look at this more as ammunition for 360 fans than a serious gaming business decision. Also its an answer to the fact that here in the states, Tekken is the king of 3d fighters and PS3 owners get the only online version of tekken to date very shortly. Sure, it kinda rips off the ppl who bought the game in the first place, but i'm sure SEGA will eventually release an add-on through the PSN where u gotta pay for it. Remember, SEGA did this move so that ppl who had both systems would have to buy the game AGAIN on the 360. I'm sure the MS development donations helped too.
This does suck for PS3 owners like myself who boughtthe game. Gates really bent over and grabbed his ankles to beat the PS3 on this one. And for Xbox fannies, I don't think they'll be able to play because their waiting for their consoles to get fixed from a problem named after an STD(Red Ring of Death). Anyway I hope Tekken6 can save the PS3 by going online.
