Wow! Am I crazy? or does GOW2 in the Collection look better than Dantes Inferno?

Granted Ive only played the demo of Dantes Inferno, but I just did a comparison and was verysuprised that GOW2 seemed to have better graphics. Any opinions?

I haven't compared them directly. But I remember thinking that Dante's Inferno looked more like a PS2 game (at least the demo did). Remember that both God of War releases were among the best looking PS2 games ever, so with it being upscaled to HD it can "almost" pass as a true next gen title. Despite how nice it looked for a PS2 game, even in the remaster there are definitely enough flaws that make you realize it's "last gen". So I will guess that Dante's would easily have an edge over the collection. I'm guessing God of War III will blow it away though because to me at least, Dante's looked pretty average for a PS3 game.

Dantes infernp does look like a ps2 game God of war 2 dosent look better though textures are a bit worse

I heard that Dante's inferno was supposed to be a PSP only title, but moved onto PS3 as well. But with the re-touches on the GOW2 in beautiful HD, its pretty hard to tell them apart sometimes, it aged well.

In Dante's Inferno, you are supposed to be seeing fire, mud and filth. In GOW2 you can be seeing anything at a time, cities, skies etc so you cannot judge just by the variety of colours or diversity of environments. Which i think is what you are doing.Dante's Inferno is not very pleasing to the eye, and i am glad about that. Just imagine if out of nowhere you came acrossa blue waterfall, with stretching grass fields and impressive sunshine effects.

I merely said that GOW2 aged well, even after the ps2 games retouches, it gives DI a run for its money in the graphics and visual department.

Go with GOWC, IMO. Two games in one BD. And the gameplay is much better than DI's.

Play through the full game of Dante's Inferno and you will see that there is no comparison. It looks way better than GOW2. The textures and models are many times more detailed. I have GOW collection and Dante and love them both, but saying a PS2-era game looks better is a bit odd. Enjoy.

I will say that I love the fact that GOW 1 and 2 now have trophies. Very cool indeed.
