Wipeout for PS3 to use Motorstorm engine

I think this is good news.... imagine shooting at opponents and panels flying off and crashes with bits and parts flying everywhere... barely finishing a race with half of your hover racer panels intact.... sounds fun

Weird, seems like a mixup to me. A first party title using a 3'rd party Engine? It would seem more realistic if they shared code library.

Wipeout for the PS3 will be something to behold. I can't wait, especially since it'll use the Motorstorm engine.

Jaw + Floor = My reaction once I play these games.

can't wait... when i use to have a PSP, Wipeout Pure took up alot of my time.

Motorstorm is being developed by Evolution Studios but published by Sony... so i guess technically its 2nd party game?  It would seem feasible if Sony had a deal to use the engine for future games?

Sorry I only said 3'rd party because 2'nd party is a made up term. But I do know that they are working very closely and that Evolution makes the best car physics engine but the cars in WipEout hoovers and mud effects would be a waste.
