Fat in my option because it has backwards compability.BackInMyDayYeah that was good, but in every other way, I like the Slim version. Looks the best, and felt well-made.

Wasn't only 60GB version backwards compatible? I have fat 40 GB I don't have any PS2 games but I think they wouldn't work
My fat one got YLOD twice before finally kicking the bucket a third time. It was only three years old. The super slim looks hideous and is cheaply made. The slim on the other hand has the best of both, and mine has lasted me almost four years without a problem. So I'd definitely say the slim.

60 and the 80gbs that came out before MGS4 were the only ones.PS3 phat will forever be the premium PS3 IMO.
It has the looks, the functionality, and the sexyness that a machine branded "Sony PlayStation 3" deserves.
I still have my phat 60gb PS3 (albeit with an upgraded HDD). Â It's in pristine shape, and still performs as well today as it ever did. Â I would never buy the ugly (IMO) slim, or the putrid (again, IMO) super slim.
If my phatty ever died then I would do whatever it takes to repair it or replace it with another phat.
