Which game inspired you most to get a PS 3 ?

For me ,

Resistance : Fall of Makind ( this single title inspired me most to get a PS 3 , but enjoying other titles too )

and can't wait for upcoming

Killzone 2 ( Big fan of Killzone tbh ) :)

Really I wanted to get GTA 4.

Resident Evil 5 and GTA 4

Now I hear that GTA will have exclusive 360 content, and RE5 might be released early on the 360. Doh!

Oh well, Blu Ray FTW..

its not just the games but i would say

1 Metal gear solid

2 Backwards compatabiltiy(sort of)

3 DMC4 + GTA4 before i knew they were on both consoles

4 Haze(give it a shot maybe it will be good)

5 Not a game but blu-ray

yeah for me it wasnt just the games...i mean...the thing is a amazing peice of technology when u look at it...i mean it is a computer i have mine setup to run linux...and from linux u can run windows...so any game i want i have on it...all the ps3 exclusives are of course great...and anything on xbox is on the computer so on the off chance that xbox will actually make a good game i can just get it and play it on my ps3 anyways hahahaha that plus the blu-ray...the wifi...the fact that i dont have to put AA batteries in my controller (HAHAHA xbox owners) now some of u might think im a sony fanboy...but anyone that owns a ps3 knows what a great machine it really is...and on top of all that...they have amazing games...resistence was great which i still play warhawk is awesome...soooo many amazing games theres too many to name...ones im looking forward to the most would be MGS4 and FF...2008 will be a great gaming year...but guess what? 2009 will be even better...and 2010 even better then that...its going to great crazy folks...hang on

i just bought one because i wanted all 3 next gen consoles.

uncharted was pretty fly though, but it wasn't the reason i bought my ps3.

knowing that one day there would be an ico/shadow of the collosus sequel was enough for me

the rest is just filler.

Well number one is Metal Gear Solid for sure. and my brother broke my ps2 so backwards compatibility was great. Devil May Cry 4, and also i think the ps3 is more personal than the 360 sicne online is not pushed as much which i think makes for better single players on occassion, and when i do play games online i dont ahve to commit to a subscription.

I didn't really need any inspiration to buy it. The games that I enjoyed on previous PlayStation console continue the tradition on PS3.

That's all I needed to know when I researched :)

I got the PS3 becuase my brother like Motorstorm.

Waiting on Socom and MGS4. Also, right when the announced they were cutting the 60GB and the EE chip was going with it for backwards compatability I started shopping around for a PS3. I'm still waiting on the blockbusters to be released.

Several games did but if I must pick one then Resistance was the game that made me get a ps3 when I did and KZ2 was the game I have wanted since E3 05.jyoung312

For me, it wasn't just one game in was several. The first reason was knowing I'll be able to play whatever major Final Fantasy titles come out for the system. The Devil May Cry series was the next thing to push me towards the PS3 (multi-plat or not, if the game would have remained exclusive, I felt that the game would always be available on Sony's console). Some other multiplat titles that I knew would be available on the PS3 as well (Marvel Ultimate Alliance, Soul Calibur IV, and Midnight Club).

Those are some of the games that convinced me to get a PS3.

main reason is assassins creed but i regret getting AC but am still enjoying Warhawk & GH III
