Do you play it with the AC adapter plugged into the wall or do you play cord-free? I never play it plugged in, but now that I stop andthink about it I'm not really sure why. Maybe that would be better...
It is portable for about 5 feet :) I keep it plugged in to keep it going online (Slim). Sometimes I don't have it plugged in if I'm moving around the house or driving somehwere.
No i normally never play plugged into the wall, the only time i'll do that is if i'm really into the game and my batterys dieing and i don't want to stop playing.
hardly ever play it plugged in for two reasons. I don't have a comfy chair near an AC outlet. And I usely charge it while I'm doing something else. ie sleeping. I have actualy played when it was pluged in to the computer via the USB, that was whele I was downloading on the PC
Well you can't expect a battery to last forever. I don't stay plugged in until the PSP tells me to recharge the battery only because that makes the battery last longer. Other than that I have a spare PSP battery that I keep in my non-slim PSP to charge before switching it with the other battery. If you want simple and "Portable" movement you can also just grab an extension cord and have the freedom of being anywhere pretty much.
I try to avoid playing my DS Lite plugged in as much as possible, and I'll be doing the same with my PSP sometime next year (2008). I don't know, it just feels safer to me. Once I know the battery is down, or that I will need a full charge for a long trip, I'll leve it charging after I'm done playing.
I prefer to stay mobile (it is a Playstation PORTABLE after all...) and so no, I don't plug it in unless the battery's gone. That said, the battery goes pretty quick (just bought the new bigger battery, here's to hoping it lasts as long as they say). I just don't like feeling tethered to the wall. If I wanted to be chained to the wall I'd play on the PS3...
