I'm still on my original 60gb hard drive.

I don't expect to upgrade for a while, as I still have lots of space left, even with Oblivion and Devil May Cry requiring large installs, not to mention other game installs, music, demos, trailers, themes, pics, and more.

I'm with you. I still have my original 60gb and probably will not be changing my hard drive at all.

Do you plan on keeping your PS3 for quite some time? You may need to rethink that later on the next few years....

320gb. Works beautifully, and is about as fast as a 7200rpm drive due to aerial density. Hardly ever even see the now loading bar in Oblivion.

That's awesome. Are these hard drives cheap or expensive? I figure one day I'll probably need to upgrade it. :) And is it difficult to do?

I've got a 250GB in mine. I might buy a 500GB external HDD aswell, depending on how much I use PlayTV when it's out.

I'll probably be getting a 500 GB external pretty soon, my music, videos pictures and all those infernal installations that capcom games keep forcing on me are taking up nearly all of my 60 GB.

I'm not good with technology hence why I'm not sure about refitting the internal one...

120gb 5400RPM drive with a single platter (less heat and a bit more efficient vs 2 platters ;))

40 gig, w00t!!!

I just got my PS3, and I only have 1 game. I won't need to upgrade for a long time. But, if I do...probably a $250 gig. The price is right.

I'm with 60GB at the moment, I'll drop in a larger one before summer hits. I still have a good 35GIG free but lately I have been putting quite a lot of video material on there. :)

You do know that game installations ONLY take place in the internal harddrive. The external harddrive is only use for storing musics, videos, photos, and etc..

Likewise. I have like 20 themes and about 2 gigs of music on mine. And I'll still have enough for the install space for the games I intend to get as well.

I'm only on my original 60gig drive. I've got no need to replace it since I just stream music, photos, and videos to the PS3 from my PC using TVersity. So the only things using my drive are game saves and demos. Even after downloading every demo I wanted, I've still got 20 gigs free.

You'll never need a bigger hard drive then that. Unless you plan on keeping a ton of games on it. I don't do that so I dont have much to worry about. And I have a pc for music of movies.

I wimped out. I only installed a 250 gig, for fear of the 7200 rpm would mess it up. Now it's never coming back out. Thanks a lot screws of butter.
