Yeah, like rodney said Dark Knight, and the Pirate movies look crazy good on Blu-Ray. Iron Man, Planet Earth, also look awesome. My favorite blu-ray is probably Blade Runner. It has every version of it. If you like that movie, it's the best blu-ray to get.
Dark Knight is pretty good. As far as difference between say an older edition VHS or DVD, Blade Runner looks amazing. Planet Earth, and the Seasons of Lost are pretty damn excellent too.
The first Pirates of the Caribbean movie is a great blu-ray. With the added detail you notice a lot of really awesome things you lose on the dvd. In particular when the city is first being attacked the view looking over the harbor from the cell is magnificent.
Ratatouille or Wall-E. I don't care if anyone hates, I love those two!!!

Yeah i've got both of those and they look amazing. Dark Night is also great cause it has the imax footage included. IRON MAN i can't believe no one said that one
The Dark Knight has probably been the best I've seen so far, though I thought No Country For Old Men was really sharp looking. March of the Penguins was a looker too... probably wouldn't have liked it half as much if I saw it in SD first.
dude delete your ^ posts before you get a warning from a mod, you shouldn't repeatedly post like that... I would say Gran Torino just because its a great movie or any of the Bourne Movies.
Pixar Films (any of them available on Blu-Ray), especially Wall-E. Planet Earth isn't a movie per-se, but it is a massive documentary about Nature, and is the staple benchmark for many avid Blu-Ray fans, because of its raw visual and audio quality.

dark knights great. pirates trilogy i wasnt that impressed with. iron man is great visually and in surround sound. but heres the ones i own and noticed nobody mentioned.
Peter Jacksons KING KONG - by far the best looking one i own.
Del Toros PANS LABYRYNTH - beautiful
TRANSFORMERS - a must if you have surround sound. my whole place rumbles when i watch it.
Blu Ray seems or HD in general seems to thrive in well lit outdoor locations. So like many said the planet earth series is a good showoff if u dont get bored easily and have lots to spend. As far as all these ppl talking about cartoons thats fine if youre a fan and all but BD's are expensive and I dont know about you but I havent noticed much difference in HD cartoons. The Simpsons looked just like the avi rip i have as it did on blu ray. Wal Mart is selling alot of good classic movies on Blu Ray for ten bux a flick right now as well. Hope this has been helpful.
