After playing both though the scenarios are completely different there is nothing scarier then a mutated baby with tentacles letting out a blood curdling half human baby cry half alien creature cry and lunging at you grabbing your face! lol

I haven't played Dead Space yet, but I must say that I don't think Homecoming is actually scary. Maybe it's because I'm already used to the scare tactics of SH for years now, I enjoyed it, but it didn't creep me out. I hope Dead Space isn't about cheap scares, it looks promising (although I don't really like shooter-type games)

DS is Sci-Fi Horror give you scary. like Doom 3 game. I don't like Sci-Fi Horror game.

Prefect Survivor Horror for Silent Hill. Ever you heard about "Siren: New Translation" game?

Dead Space is way better for scare factor, has a lot of ohh **** im dead moments although you must play on medium or hard to get that feeling on easy its kinda weak. To be honest i personally find they took the best of all horror games and mixed it all into one nice pakage.

I have both...to make things short

Silent Hill gives me the creeps (only silent hill games have managed to creep me out and the original Resident Evils),

Dead Space is not scary but is very action oriented with its weapons, its more horrific like Saw

Different kinda scary, I think despite differences dead space is much better. If you like bioshock or quake dead space is a no brainer, much scarier and a lot more fun in my opinion.

If you can't wait for resident evil and enjoy SH games get both. ;)

Nothing sends a chill down your spine like when your girlfriend say's "I think I might be pregnant." I don't think any game is scarier than that.
