It was published by EA, so it seems like they put their focus on the Battlefield series.

Outside of the original and Allied Assault, critics never had much love for those games, ranking them above-average or worst in most cases. This isn't fair, but I'd say it certainly had something to do with it based on the popularity that now exists for the Battlefield games.

Call Of Duty & Battlefield had something to do with it. As for M.O.H. series, I wasn't a big fan of the gaming series for extremely tiresome WW2 settings & other things. I did really like Medal Of Honor 2010 alot, but the online multiplayer was disappointing.

The 2010 one was decent. But I guess the one after that, which I think was the last one that was made, didn't turn out well from a critic standpoint and it sold poorly in comparison to the previous game. So I guess poor sales and other more lucrative projects to focus on were the cause of its abandonment.

Medal of Honor series was eclipsed by The original COD's almost instantly. They tried to reboot it and it failed. EA has put their chips into Battlefield ever since. The Medal of Honor reboots were a shell of their former selves. Battlefield franchise completely took over the FPS flagship for EA. With Star Wars Battlefront being the secondary choice and Titanfall in third place. There is no room for Medal of Honor series in their lineup without over saturating the market with FPS like we did last-generation.

The most overused excuse as to why Medal of Honor or any other game series similar to it have died out is because of Call of Duty. Yes, I understand many get tired of this excuse; I even catch myself rolling my eyes when someone uses this reason to justify a series demise.

There is a channel on YouTube called, "GVMERS," which goes into depth about what actually happened to Medal of Honor and other series like it. If you can spare a moment or two, check out their page, The Rise and Fall of Medal of Honor to see for yourself why MOH and other series started to disappear.
