Just the sixaxis, rumble got old and annoying especially in games when it rumbled for like a minute straight (DBZ budakai 3)

I hated the rumble quite a bit because I left my game on in the middle of the night and my controller was on the floor and all I heard was constan "eeeerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr" in the night and I was too tired to go and shut off the machine. I like Sixaxis because it's so cool and better features than Dualshock 2. :D

This is my only reason for wanting rumble, just about every other use of it is useless IMO.

Actually that was only the one time, I would like to have them both but if I had to pick between them, I would go with sixaxis.

look guys, if they add the rumble your controller will die every other hour.  The rumble eats up battery life like theres no tomorrow.  Ill stick with the way it is now.  Rumble is overrated

I loved rumble... give us both. And for those who dislike rumble there could always be an option to switch rumble off, so both partys are happy.

I voted for both, not because I miss, or care about rumble, but (assuming the controllers would still cost the same, and have the same battery life) because having both is obviously better than only having one. Not to mention it would be one less thing the anti-sony fanboys would have to complain about. But again, I couldn't really care less if SONY added rumble to the SIXAXIS or not.

I would like the rumble and sixaxis in my controller because of the fact that i like the way that it felt when you played FPS or when you were watching  a cutscene and the controller vibrates and it massages your hands. However i hated the way the used rumble in Mercenary because after two secs it hurted my hands playing whenever i fired the machine guns in the helicopter. Also i like rumbel because i am so accustomed to it. I think they should do like what that guy said give us both and then gives an option to play it with the rumble on or off. well anyway talk to u ppl later. Peace !!!! V

I don't even notice rumble unless it's spazzing out on me (like when you pause or the game lags and it keeps rumbling). My friends who own 360's don't even notice the lack of rumble in the ps3 controller. I had to tell them after they'd been playing R:FoM for a while. I think the whole "Oh NOES!! NO RUMBLE IN TEH SIXAXIS" issue people are having is because Sony officially came out and said they weren't putting rumble in the controller. I bet that over half of the people who want rumble so badly wouldn't have noticed if Sony didn't say anything and left the "rumble on/off" option in games. Come to think of it that would be an interesting experiment.

I don't need vibration, nor do I want it. It can give you nerve damage.

I voted for both, but I really don't care. Rumble doesn't really make the PS3 better, its already perfect in a lot of ways.

I voted for both only because there was no option for Rumble with no Motion Control. Happily PS3 games seem to have motion control off by default. I naturally move the controller during play as I smoke and drink and put nonexistent "english" on my actions. Sure, as with rumble you'll most likely always have the option to turn off motion control, but I loathe the concept and wish it would go away.

Rumble adds to immersion, just as surround sound does and one day digital smells will (ewwww...). Motion control is just more work, and generally much worse than traditional sticks/buttons.

I really dont mind Rumble lost at all, obviously if we could have both then no reason not to, but its not noticeable like all the retard sites and magazines have you to believe(looking at you Kotaku) POS site.

That is a no brainer, rumble + axis.  Rumble may not be integral but it can help with immersion and/or an indicator of something happening in the game.  It sucks this was taken out, especially for lame motion sensing.

In most games, they give you the option to use the SIXAXIS controls. It would be nice if they gave you the option to turn rumble on and off.

it is pretty tough, on the one hand the rumble can be helpful in like shooters, but it can also be annoying and loud. Plus, without the rumble the controller is super-light which is nice

Ha ha, my PS2 controller has been broken for ages, so I'm used to no rumblization-in-the-metacarpals, but I'm content with my massive sub-woofer - as it makes my heart jump when I hear the 'REEEEEAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRhghg' of those crazy chainsaw b****es in RE4 - surely it will be the same with the PS3 controller? (When we get 'em down-under... Sorry, I mean "If"... *sigh* ... *sob* ... *cries* ...)

yo when ur playin a FPS rumble is crucial, when ur playin a fighting game n u knock someone down or visca versa u need to feel it, when ur playin a survival horror game n somethin suddenly moves, it makes it more atmospheric, when ur playin a sports game like football n u lay someone out...u wanna feel like u broke his bones! rumble is a must for almost any game...ITS A MUST. n sure some of u really dont miss it, but i also think there are alot of fanboys who swallow everything sony feeds them wit a smile. i have a ps3 and must say rumble is crucial. sure u can have ur useless sixaxis BS (somethin sony implemented last sec. cuz they got sued), but damn put back the rumble! BRING BACK THE RUMBLE!!

I wouldn't mind having rumble back as long as they kept the weight to a minimum.  I can't imagine a controller with the weight of a dualshock would be fun to move around so much.
