Resistance with my 60gb european launch day. Man I loved that game. Never got into the sequel's online component as much as I did with the original.
My PS3 came with Heavenly Sword and Moto GP 08.
I loved those games! Heavenly Sword in particular, with its outstanding production values and art direction...wonderful game!
I got the Call of Duty Black Ops 160 GB Ps3 slim about three weeks ago. I got Uncharted2 and FF13 the same day as the PS3. Just bought God of War 3 couple days ago.
Uncharted 2 is the only game I've played out of all of them, and it was amazing. Just beat single player today, and I'm about level 26 in MP. Great purchase, I got the Game of the Year Edition so it came with a bunch of extra goodies.
And the reason I haven't played any of the other games is because the Uncharted 3 Beta is so damn good. Even with only 2 maps lol. Just got to level 25 today. I'm by no means good, just alright, but I'm having a blast anytime I boot it up.
I got my PS3 in 2008. I was 12 and picked the more cartoony anime games. The first game i played on it was DBZ: Burst Limit but i technically belongs to my brother. The first game i owned for the system was inFAMOUS and it is my favorite game to date.
I bought a 40GB 5 months ago and got it repaired 4 months ago. Works fine. Sold my 360 for it. The first game I bought was Uncharted Drake's Fortune. I've heard a lot of hype about the Uncharted series when I owned a 360. It was a HIT. I don't own a lot of games. Just the epic exclusives. I'm currently playing God of War 3 right now.
Haha, hmm, i got a 250gb PS3 Slim nearly two years ago now and i think my first game on it was Rainbow Six Vegas.....it was alright...
I'll never forget it... It was Resident Evil.
In a game magazine, a picture of resident evil gameplay caught my eye. It was the first game I ever saw with polygons. My mom rented a PLayStation from Blockbuster along with the game while I was visiting. At that time, the manual suggested playing to candlelight and turning up the volume. After about 1 hour of playing, I needed to stop out of fear (The part where the dogs jump through the window). I came back after 30 minutes to keep playing and played through that whole weekend.
When I got back home to my dad, I spoke of my experience, and he surprised me with a PlayStation and copy of Resident Evil. I've been a hardcore gamer ever since. :)
Edit: Well, now I feel dumb. I thought you meant PlayStation for some reason and not PS3 :P I got 3 games with my PS3 in 2007. It was Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, MLB 07, and Resistance. I disliked Resistance, but the other two were GREAT!
My firstPS3 game was Call Of Duty 4 - Modern Warfare, and at the time it was a miss. I played it a couple of times and really really struggled trying to just complete the first assault course level of the game, I can't remember off-hand if I finally passed it to progress tot he first level or simpky skipped it and went on to the next level on the boat. Anyway I never played it for a good time after that only coming back to it later when advised how good it was if you got into it and the rest as they say is history.
MGS4. It was a hit but after a while I felt like it wasn't as good as the PS2 installments. I beat the game once and ended up playing MGO for a long time.
My first game for the PS3 was Metal Gear Solid 4 and it was a hit for the most part. I am a fan of MGS so the story was intriguing to me. The gameplay and graphics of course are also solid. I also liked the choice of whether or not you can just blast through all the enemies or take the stealthy approach. The only real downside of the game is how ridiculous the story gets. I thought they made it way too overcomplicated and kind of ruined it. Plus, there's the usual thing people complain about; the cutscenes. Some of the cutscenes nearly put me to sleep. I enjoyed them for the most part though.
So overall it was definitely a hit, and from there I got games like Uncharted, Heavy Rain, and LittleBigPlanet, and I've been enjoying my PS3 experience ever since.
Well technically it was Resistance Fall of Man (December 27th 2009) but I always consider Uncharted: Drakes Fortune to be my 1st (December 31st 2009).
MGS4, which came with my 80 gig bundle. It was definately a hit, though I did find myself groaning from all the cutscenes near the end.
technically my 1st ps3 and game was the launch 80 gig with b/c that came with motorstorm. i played it for like a half hour. racing games arent rly my thing. they both got stolen 2 days after i received them as a bday gift anyway.
a cpl months later i got a 40 gig and heavenly sword. LOVED hs. bohan is hilarious. wish theyd make a sequel and incorporate sixaxis that well in a game again.
Well I did a mass trade in at Gamestation (traded my PS2 and about 20 games) which chalked off £67 off the cost for my 80GB PS3 about two years ago :) With that £67 I bought FIFA 09, Football Manager 2009and NFS Undercover. All 3were hits, FIFA09 was probably the first sign thatthe FIFAwas comfortably the best footballgame seriesout there, Football Manager 2009 was also greatand Undercover was a suprise, the graphics and sound to the game was great :)
