Want to try something new, instead of forza or gran turismo.
I dislike open world racing games and i like track selection racing games.
Just wondering how driveclub fits into the racing category. Is it simulation or track selection? Etc

it is arcade sim style. Not open world. Beautuful track selection.Dont go by the reviews. The game has improved alot since launch. They fixed the online, added dynamic weather, free cars and tracks and overall its a much more stable game.
it's a hybrid, the gameplay is solid. It's a mix between Arcade and sim, leaning more towards sim though. But it's a solid racer, the online sucks though
Good track racer, puts your skills to the test as you can't tweak your cars, people may think this is a bad thing but it puts everyone on a level playing field. the weather is amazing and night racers are mindblowing visually, things have improved alot since launch and it's a solid racer.
Are the driving mechanics anything like from the DiRT series? I'm not sure if that is arcady or simulation but i really enjoyed those, and i really enjoy the granturismo/forza series.
@polishkid99: imho, dirt sits comfortably between sim and arcade, so is drive club, i am a fan of open world racers like burnout paradise and forza horizon series, so dc did not appeal to me that much (plus i had to go through all of the connectivity issues at release since i had pre-ordered it), however the visuals are easily the best of this console generation (so far)... :D
single player campaign is bare bones. i dont see wow graphics. its more arcade than sim...its better than what reviewers say the game is
mp is where its at with clubs and stuff.
This guy speaks the truth.
