What is up with PSN?

Was planning on playing some Portal 2 coop with a friend when all of a sudden I got signed out of PSN. I've done a few internet connection test, and everytime the PS3 successfully obtains the IP address and validates the internet connection, but then it says "Failed" for the Playstation Network. Anyone else having this problem? Right now it's 12:17 US Central time, if that helps.

Yep, i am. I just tried connecting a mere moment ago and i got the same 'Failed' for PSN when i did a quick connection test.

Good i thought I was the only one. I can't even sign in right now it keeps giving me the same message you got but with this set of numbers (80710A06)

Yep. I was thinkin' about buying "MarvelvsCapcom2" 'cuz it's on sale, and when I sign in it says "Failed to automatically add funds" and goes limp. I accessed the store a few hours ago (which is when I saw the game at a reduced price, finally), but now it's flacacta...

Anyone have kind supportive posts for hackers of Sony products now? Anyone still believe they have your best interests at heart, and they're acting on your behalf?
