What is the BEST intro to a game, you have ever seen?

Tekken Tag Tournament.

God of war 3, you get to slay one of the most important and powerful gods of the mythology right at the beginning.

Devil May Cry 3 has pretty epic intro!

Killzone 2, Bioshock. And also The Darkness has a nice intro

GTA:Vice City. Why?! Because I love the 80s. And that was well done.

I like Jak II's intro. Looks great, goes from lush environments to dank city and prison and then the realization of being able to control dark eco. And Daxter still being hilarious was great.

A lot of people saying Kingdom hearts and when you look back at it, its hard to believe it was done on last gen. It's lot better than some of the lame intros we get these days.

Thats pretty close to actually gameplay too, im sure hoping for Crysis 2, but i fear its going to be best looking on PC.

Demon's Souls start cutscene is my favorite so far.

Looking over my collection Bioshock leaps out as one of the best. COD4 was nothing to sneeze at either. As for oldschool, FFVII still makes me tingle everytime I hear the music let alone watch the train barrel into Midgar. NHL98 is by far the greatest game opening of all time though. If you haven't watched that intro movie you should. It's uber. Uber leet.

Best- Bioshock

Why... immediately grabs you (plane crash & swimming thru wreckage/flames), a little exposition (from voice on radio), & just the right amount of cutscene/player control (only takes about 10 minutes to get to Rapture & once there player is instantly in the heat of the action). The beginning very effectively introduces the player to the world of the game (intro is heavily steeped in the atmosphere of Raptor).

Worst- Metal Gear 4

Why... way too long cutscenes (seems like first hour is all cutscenes) and not enough play time (the amount of play time during the initial cutscenes is very short and uneventful/boring). This game was more like an animated film than a game. The beginning feels more about showcasing the game's technological mastery than entertaining the gamer.

Final Fantasy X-2 and Kingdom Hearts 2 intros were amazing. Especially FF x-2 where Yuna sings.
