What Games To Buy Right Off The Bat?

Alright, guys. I have a question for you. Currently I am considering purchasing a new console. Being completely new to the Sony side of gaming, I wanted to ask you regulars, which three or four games would you suggest to get as starters for the system?

There's your four games right there. ;)

But if you want some more PS3 games: Uncharted, Ratchet and Clank Future, Resistance.

Metal Gear Solid 4, Uncharted: Drake's Fortune and MLB 08 the Show if you are a fan of baseball sims. It is arguably the best baseball sim ever in my opinion.shaunchgo
