What game should be the face of PS3 and make it the BEST console ?!

Topic says it all guys. What're you banging on ?

I've got a couple of games shortlisted and am wondering about what you guys think.

They'd be :

- Grand Theft Auto IV.

- Metal Gear Solid 4.

- God of War III.

- Killzone 2.

- Burnout Paradise.

- Call of Duty 4.

- Assassin's Creed.

- Rock Band.

- Army of Two.

A couple of sports games maybe?

- Fifa 08.

- Major League Baseball: The Show.

My vote would be on GTA IV. Finally no whackjob graphics and the classic storylines. Hmmm Mhmmm. Can't wait!

I agree with the guy above. If you want to see the killer blows that'll make PS3 the best console, they would better be exclusives.

The GTA series has always been rather Epic, but I beleive it isn't PS3 exclusive. To be a face of a console, you'd have to be exclusive in my opinion. This means CoD4, Assassin's Creed, Rock Band, etc. are all kind of out the window.

You really need a game that makes people say, "The reason I bought a PS3 was..."

I know a lot of people bought PS2s for the Final Fantasy Games (10, 11, 10-2, and 12) and I know a lot did it for the Metl Gear games (even though some bombed. On the same accord, the Devil May Cry games and GTA games held that distinction until they went ahead and crossed the multi platform barrier.

So, to be honest, if I didn't already own a PS3, the three games that would make me purchase a PS3 instead of a 360 or a Wii would be three upcoming releases. Those would be the FF13 games, The Metal Gear Solid release, and the God of War release that is upcoming. Those three games scream PS3, just like Halo screams 360, and Mario scream Wii.

Hehe, almost all the games above mentioned are available on both consoles. And what I was trying to convey was games that can be brought up in arguments of both consoles.

Eg, Smackdown vs. Raw 2008 on the 360 has a feature of adding yer own song from yer HDD to the game fer a Created WWE Superstar's entrance theme. Not that the game is great, but it's small features like these which can be proven that one console is better than the other.

Complete features fer the GTA IV are yet to be released but hopefully (if any) extra features are available on one console and not the other, its the PS3.

Yea God of War has really shot up since its first game fer the PS2. Not sure how they're gonna improve thier graphics a whole lot though. Both games on the PS2 had scintillating graphics that put other games to sleep.

God of War III will kick real ass after its release and I won't be surprised to see exclusive PS3 models with God of War III faceplate and controllers alike, naming the whole set, OLYMPIA VERSION. Kinda like how they did with the 360 and Halo3.

It wouldn't be the face of PS3 by any means, but I would LOVE to see a totally beefed up, revamped, quality soundtrack with excellent marketing scheme having version of Twisted Metal.

That one game has provided me with some of the best multiplayer fun I've ever had over the years. And with duds like Full Auto out, we need Twisted Metal to set right all the sucktitude that is current car battle games.

Maybe MGS4 though Snake has been on other platforms.......

But what is up with your list? Most of those games can't be the face of Ps3 because they're multiplatform.

I also think GT5 would be great on that list.....

Metal Gear or Final Fantasy.

Killzone (not proven, yet)

GT (a car has no face :P)

God of War ... this is the closest one to MGS/FF

I think it should be an exclusie to the PS3... usually the face for a console should be friendly which appeals to all ages so probably would go for a cartoony character but if I have to choose I wld go for Nathan Drake...

He is a normal looking guy which against all odds always manages to overcome all difficult situations... He's funny yet strong in his own way... Also the game in which he features is excellent so I would like him to be the face of PS3 (at least until another character comes up)

Didnt go for MGS for one reason, call me old-fashioned but if I have to choose a face for the PS3 it has to be exclusive, coming from a 1st Party dev and be the first game in hopefully a series but being released for the first time on the PS3 and not a series who started life on the NES...

There's gonna be some people (me included MAYBE) that buy it for the new Twisted Metal coming out (even though it probably wont be out for another year or so) plus I don't already own a 360.

I don't think twisted metal is thaaat popular of a series but it has a good following.

I think either little big planet or killzone 2 will make the ps3
