I think they need to lower the price $200 if they have any plans on catching the competition. They also need to get more quality titles on retail shelves. Once they do these 2 things the system will start selling a lot better. I want one, but I'll wait another year. Most likely I'll get some of the best PS3 games off Ebay for dirt cheap and then get the PS3 12-18months from now when the price drops.

I can definitely see a price drop in the next 12-18 months.

Don't bet on a price drop any time soon. With the losses that they are currently facing, I highly doubt they'd be willing to risk any further losses with the idea of a price drop. And, even IF there was a price drop, don't expect it to be a massive drop. A drop will happen...But, not during the product's infancy. Seriously....I don't see the problem many people have with the price. It isn't as if the money can't be made. Granted, it may take a while to come up with all of the cash, but it is doable. Save, save, save....Even if it's a penny a day..In all honesty, if one really wants something, they will do what they can to get what they want....preferrably by legal means....But, you get the idea...You want something, you'll do what you can to get it....Even if it takes years to get it....My belief is that this system is worth it's price. But, again...that's just my own personal opinion.
