What do you expect the PS4 to do?

Reading online and it might come out in 2013/2014? I think that's too early. I'd go for 2016 or 2017. But anyways, what do you think the console will have? What will it be able to do? I can't really think of anything except better graphics, lol. I'd like it to be backwards compatible with the PS1,PS2, and it better be with the PS3 games. Would you be happy for a motion control and such? I wouldn't. When I play video games, I like to relax. Especially after workouts or long days, I just want to sit down, and enjoy the game.

Just wanna see some opinions what/how the PS4 should be.

I expec tthe new microsoft system around 2014 and the new sony system in 2015. As to what I expect? I expect it to have larger memory andprocessing speed. I also expect the push for online download to be all the more important. No actual physical copies. Which is a very bad idea. But that seems to be where the industry is going. claiming it may make the price lower and such. Which it wont. But maybe some companies will sell games for $5 cheaper for downloading online. I also expect the new sony system to be moe 3D ready.

Yep I agree with 2016 or 2017 that is about the 10 year life cycle they said they were doing, I'm in not much of a hurry for next-gen systems heck I still want to get an Xbox 360 or PSP yet yeah I'm probably a bit slow with these things, but not having a job doesn't help.

I expect them to try and pull another "PS2 after life" with PS3 and keep supporting it even after the PS4 is out, but only for a year or 2. After that they'll probably have big returns of games everyone loved from the PS2/PS3.(Ape escape 4, PLEEEEASE! Sony.)

Basically a "Super PS3" it would do everything the PS3 did but better, I don't think it'll be a super computer that warms your house in the winter though.:P

I expect it to be more competitive with the PC as far as power and multimedia functions.

Hopefully they improve the internet browser and allow us to use it while we're playing.

I just hope that it has backwards compatibility, good RPGs and no crashes. That would do for me.

i expect the ps4 to release around 2014 or 2015 because sony said that they aren't in a hurry to make the ps4 (sony said that after seeing the wii-u) and i expect people to stop talking about the ps4 and enjoy what they got instead of looking so far into the future.

I'd like to be able to use my current PSN account on PS4 and of course, backward compatibility for PS3 games! I do hope they'll leave the motion control in just like PS3, I wouldn't like motion control to be used excessively. I like how it is now, for example, shaking off enemies who are grabbing you, that is ok, and give options to turn the motion off/on.

And of course, like what 99% of people are expecting, MUCH better graphics! Like the movie, Avatar.

Cost-effective move on the new console. I don't expect any crazy new super expensive part. What I want is probably what they are going to give, new Nvidia graphics chip probably based on "Maxwell", stronger processor which I believe they might go in house again becasue they are a "hardware" company. other than that 1080p/60fps, BC (not likely), new controller, stick with blu ray, better online store/support. I call ps4 unvieled E3 2012 as a teaser. E3 2013 as ready with demos to play with actual hardware. Holiday 2013 as selling date.

I expect it to be able to stream the game from my home to wherever i might be (my laptop usually).

hardcore integration with psvita (hopefully having huge discounts with the purchase of the same game for both systems)

Better integration with usb devices (can't believe my usb headset doesnt stream sound and only the mic from ps3...)

Better online system (don't own a XBOX so i don't really know why XBL is said to be better but whatever it is i hope Sony can make up a way to catch up to them)

Cross game chat

Great support for Keyboard and mouse so we can bring rts to ps3 :>!!

Huge HDD

And ofc lots of good exclusives and a decent price tag

HOME INTEGRATION [ trophy room, intégrated game lobbies, free item from game completion]

INCLUDED peripherals WITH CONSOLE [MIC, MOVE ... if you want peripherals to work it needs to be sold with the console]

XMB INTEGRATION [having to leave gaming to check the store or stuff is annoying]

PORTABLE INTEGRATION [Vita is supposed to support connectivity with PS3 might as well make it follow up with ps4 ... right!!!]

Game REGION PORTABILITY and TRANSLATION (I'm tired of waiting for Japaneese games to cross the pond )

I don't mind dematerialization as long as i don't need to pay a fortune to rebuy my game like it will be the case with my PSP.

Well, I want PS4 to be backwards compatible with PS1, PS2 and PS3 games. I also like to see lots of new and cool features and lots of new games for it.
