There's a networking adapter. Like an ethernet or wireless pci board. Could that be what you're thinking of?

Lol... to be specific I was wondering how an RPG that is suppose to deliver 100+ hours of gameplay minimum can be squeezed onto one disc while a 6 hour SP and a MP takes two.... I guess Skyrim is just going to be condensed or something?

I know what you meant :P Bf3 probably has higher res textures and crap like that that takes up a lot of space.. It might also be two completely separate exes like medal of honor.. Though I doubt that

That, and there is one big open world with all assets present in one area vs several large levels, each complete with their own set of assets. Just guessing here, but the quality of said assets could have a lot to do with it. Bethesda games usually just consist of a bunch of simple objects painted with whatever texture. I'd imagine there are a lot of complex, dynamic objects in BF3 with multiple texture layers to account for different ambient effects. Basically, they're going heavy on the realism and realism takes up space.

Possibly. There was a storm here two days ago and something like that got burnt according to our service provider. Wasn't sure of it was a real thing because when you build a PC you don't hear mich talk about Internet boards... I also backed up into my garage door because of the storm. I raised the door but lightning caused it to stop near the top of it's ascent and I clipped it with the top if my parents car. I couldn't see the door in any mirror it had stopped so high. -.-

maybe a lot more audio too? cause I think audio takes up a bunch of space, Audio as in a lot different guns and vehicles and military voices going on lol .

I know the feeling. I'm getting Deus Ex and Disgaea this weekend, and then Gears 3 when it comes out. Those 3 should be able to keep me occupied until November where I have AT LEAST 5 games, and that could possibly grow to 8 games in 1 month :cry: This is also excluding the fact that I'm passing on Batman AC and Rage for the time being because I will have absolutely no time to play either with everything else coming out. Jesus this fall is packed.

Most big games are embargoed, they just lift at different times. Dead Island was embargoed until yesterday. I think, for the most part, they want to minimize the amount of information that gets out that could kill some of the game's buzz. I may be into a zombie RPG but change my mind when I find out there is no real story in it. It's not a big con, but it is something that could change someone's mind. I think they're just trying to avoid that. I could be wrong, but I really can't make sense of it any other way. :P

I personally don't understand it either. There are a lot of people that look for reviews before purchasing and if there's no reviews until after the game comes out less people are probably going to preorder the game which only lowers sales.

hopefully the new engine isn't as hard on the ps3 as frostbite 1.5 was. That and ANT (somethig used in FIFA games to make movement look realistic) might add to the large amount of data needed maybe a lot more audio too? cause I think audio takes up a bunch of space, Audio as in a lot different guns and vehicles and military voices going on lol .

Yea I am one of those people :P I just find it reassuring to know that the game is actually good... especially because I buy so few games at launch and at full price that I want the best I can get when I do.
