Sony please don't repeat the mistake nintendo made..

If was anything like the PSP, you won't be getting a new color for at least 2 years. In Japan though, that's another story, I'm sure they'll release more colors this year.

I am surprised they didn't change to white to begin w/ to emphasize its newness vs. the PSP. I am not sure if it's quite a mistake that Nintendo made. If people buy at launch and then feel the need to buy another, it kind of works out for them. The people who made the mistakes are those who bought at launch, I guess. To be honest, in this day and age, if you buy at launch and act surprised when better colors and new options come out months or years later, you are just blowing wind. There is no way I can beleive someone who is into gaming enough to buy a system at launch could not expect this to happen.

That orange one is really good.. This time I won't buy launch handheld systems because they always release different versions and with addedmodifications

Sony will realease PSvita in many colors. If it doesn't sell as quickly as Sony hopes. But I'm happy with launch black. I hope that Sony will wait a bit for new colers. Candy apple red would be nice however.

That's why I'm waiting. A price drop, slight revision, a choice of colours, and a solid lineup (not that the launch lineup isn't good). I may have to wait awhile to get into the Vita, but it'll be worth it.double_double

Look at how waiting for the 3DS will benefit me. Now I can pick up that coolio Metal Gear Solid 3DS in March, with the price drop and a solid lineup of games. If I were to pick up that thing at launch....I'd wanna kill myself lol.

I would give anything for the watermelon coloured one on the left of the deep blue one on the right, I'm sick of generic colours all the time. It's sad when even having a white phone is a novelty compared to the all black everything else.

That wasn't Nintendo's mistake. Their mistake was launching the 3DS at 250 bucks, which is the same thing Sony is doing.

I think they'll just do what they did with the PSP. For North American users, new colors will be available only in special Limited Edition boxes. I didn't have a problem with that becuase I never once ran into someone who had a blue PSP like mine, so it felt more unique lol.

sony's starting to annoy m... the fact that u had to purchase sony memory and the difference in pricing for the games is really unresonable.... this two really pissed me off..... anyway can't wait to get my hands on ps vita..
