just saw the latest video for the game , im a big kratos fan , but i honestly have to say that god of war 3 looks bad from what i saw i hop sony dont screw it up , coz its the only game i can see it to set the bar with MSG4 , after MGS4 i just feel there is nothing worth playing even on other consoles
If you have been following the game at all then you may know that people have been saying that's an older build of the game. David jaffe gushed about a video of the game that was alot better then what was shown at the vgas.
even it will just be a bit better than the past two games on the PS2, i will still get God of war 3 coz i'm very much interested on the story, i wonder what will happen next? it's like the MGS series... even the next sequel isn't out yet, you know it's gonna be great! as far as what i've seen... i think this gae will really rock!
GOW 1 and 2 didn't look like the other ps2 games at all they looked way way better , so i hop GOW 3 makes it also , great gameplay + great graphics = EPIC , and a game like GOD OF WAR should only be EPIC !
I was never a big GOW fan, but I have played all the ones out, even the psp version, and honestly gameplay is great, and they do make you work a bit on puzzles, even though they're not that complicated. But I still am looking forward to GOW 3 just cuz it's a PS3 exclusive, and they always do their best on them, just look at Uncharted, MGS4 and Ratchet, etc.. Screw the ratings that gamespot gives them, the games are great. Another game I'm really looking forward to is Infamous.
Well staying true to the topic, just judging the trailer alone, I'd say that I too am pretty disappointed with the visuals thus far. On the PS2, GOW 1 and 2 really pushed the system, and those games still stand as some of the best graphics on a console to date. Considering it was PS2, I'd even say they put some next gen games to absolute shame. But this trailer for 3 exhibits nothing spectacular, nor anything that we haven't seen already or done better. Its just the trailer though, I do understand that, but thats the topic and thats my opinion.
I think it's too early to judge. We're really far from the game's release. Graphics may improve, they'll most likely do, but anyhow if what has been shown to us in the spike tv show contains afootage of actuall gameplay (like it was supposed to), then I think the game's doing just fine. And if you did get dissappointed, just remember the graphics in GOWII, both in-game and the cutscenes. The cutscenes were the best I saw in PS2. So, if graphics improve at least just a little from what we experienced in GOWII, it'll be ok. Anyhow, GOW has always been about gameplay and story for me. Oh, and Jaffe even said that what we saw at the Spike show was not what he had seen and had been ranting about, so I think we'll have to wait and see if all of what he said was true, you know like it would surpass Gears II in terms of graphics and stuff (which would be really hard TBH).
I personally was not drawn in by the trailer they shnowed...HOWEVER...I will wait until 09 for gameplay & base my decision off of that. Even if Jaffe said it was an early build I want to see this "Amazing" footage he saw. At the end of the day I will still get this game.

i dunno a lot of the footage was zoomed in on so i dont think it was a good representation. not only that but its way too early of a build to judge off of. we will see
Not worried about that trailer from the VGAs. It wasnt great, but it wasnt something to judge the game on either. In 2 or 3 months well get a trailer thats puts KZ2 to shame probably.

It is too early to judge the game's graphics now. I will judge it when it comes out. At the moment I don't think people should go around saying the game doesn't look that good or it looks like GOWII in HD.
watching it on TV and downloading it from PSN made a huge difference in visual quality to me. At first I didn't think it looked impressive and then downloapded it from PSN in 1080p. If you haven't downloaded it from PSN do yourself a favor and do so.

I saw nothing that said "Amazing". I really wasn't hyped over it though.
Ps: We can't really same gameplay will be solid since we have not seen any. All most of you can do is ASSUME it will be like the previous 2 titles.
whats wrong with the look? gameplay looks like it will be great like the other GoW games and the game is far from complete so im sure the graphics will look better in the future (they dont look bad at all but im not feelin the look of Kratos that much).
Actually, it looks pretty good and I really like the God of War games. Well I bet they do even better with full 1080p picture and 7.1 uncompressed audio. When will they release the game?
