Though being a owner of the good 'ol playstion 2, I have never played a Rachet & Clank game, much to my regret.

But having blasted through the stellar demo of R&C Future: Tools of Destruction, I feel I have missed on a lot of stuff.

Still not willing to go back and play a whole lot of the past games, do you guys think that the story and my lack of knowledge of past installments should keep me from playing this game; as in, would the story and the "going-ons" in the new game confuse a new player like me?

The story isn't linear, so you should have no problem jumping in. It's an excellent game and shouldn't be missed! Stuff you should know: Ratchet: Adventurer Clank: Smart robot Captain Qwark: Stupid, funny, "intergalactic hero" as he thinks of himself You're set! :D
