Should I get the PS4 Pro?

I have an 85" 4K TV and a regular PS4, I'm wondering whether I should upgrade to the PS4 Pro. Is it worth it. I mean if I don't see a significant difference in the graphics or only a sample of games take advantage of the 4K then is it really worth it, upgrading?

Does the Pro really make much of a difference, enough to warrant buying a new console?

I'm wondering the same thing. Should see deals soon for pro's for £250 or $350 so can't decide if to buy one or wait till PS5 comes out in 19/20 according to rumours

Jesus, an 85" 4K tv. I doubt money is too much of an issue for you, so I'd say go for it. I upgraded mostly out of concern of the standard PS4 not being able to keep up with upcoming games and such. I like the peace of mind of knowing that I'm getting better performance to some degree out of many games I play. Even if a lot of games can't take advantage of the 4K, many still take advantage of the console's extra power in other ways.

Or if you're patient, just wait a few years for the next PlayStation console lol.

I was thinking of just waiting for the next PS5, but that might not be out for another 4-5 years? That is why I was wondering whether the Pro is worth it, is there really that much of a difference in the graphics that you would justify the purchase?

Do whatever you want. If you are old enough to get a credit, you are old enough to make decissions on your own. Not that I'd belive a word you say anyway.

I'd guess the PS5 will be more like 2-3 years, but who knows. Looking at graphics alone... I don't know if there's a huge difference. I don't have the best eye for graphics, I just know you won't be getting Ultra maxed out PC settings-like graphics.

Considering what's out now it might be a good future investment, just like the xbox one x in my opinion. There might not be many games that can handle the pro, but later on there will be. But the question is when? I'm willing to bet that Sony will have something to show during E3 this year.

@alphav90: You think so, or they might unveil the coming of PS5. Just look at the Xbox Scorpio, that was out for what a year and then the Xbox X is unveiled.

@fanboymctroll: With this whole incremental thing Sony and Microsoft are doing it is kind of a turn off for me. While the PS4 pro has some games I like I'm going to keep an eye out for anything significant.

@fanboymctroll There are currently only a limited selection of games that take full advantage of 4k. Are there any games that support 4k that you really want? Do you have/planning on getting PlayStation VR? The difference will be apparent in games that are designed to look a lot better in 4k, and the hardware will allow better VR experience. 4k & VR games however are currently in their infancy. Maybe give it another 6-12 months and revaluate your decision to buy the pro?

I have a 4k TV and a normal PS4, when I'm playing games I rarely stop to marvel at the graphics.

If you have an 85" then I'd say take advantage of it. I think it really depends how much you play video games as well. If you plan on playing something like Horizon: Zero Dawn a 1st time, or over again on the Pro, then I'd say do it. That game looks glorious.

I'd say no if you had only a 1080p tv, but since you have a massive 4K one, then by all means, do it.

If you are planning to buy 4K then yes. But also with full hd tv the pro will give a better image from supersampling the image before putting it out. So it really depends on how much better picture you want.
