Should I get GTA Vice City or GTA San Andreas?

In my opinion, San Andreas is the way to go. The game is huge, tons of stuff to do, and tons of vehicles (including rocket-pack) to use.........Although, you won't be disappointed with Vice City. The 80's theme & characters are amazing........But, if you can only get one, get San Andreas.

Vice City! 80s theme is amazing and the music stereo is brilliant.

I had them both and I enjoyed Vice City more. However, both of those games look really dated especially on hdtv. They really should have made an HD version.

For story, characters, music and atmosphere I would put Vice City ahead of SA. But just slighly because SA is also amazing. You'll get more value out of SA though, and it has better controls, better graphics if you care. They're both extrememly good games, if you can, get both eventually. But if you can only afford one for now then get SA because it will last you longer. 

I'd go with San Andreas, but I haven't played Vice City as much.

I recommend Vice City. Better theme, better characters, and I liked the music better as well.

For me, San Andreas is the better game.  That's not to say I didn't love Vice City, I just thought San Andreas moved the already high bar set by its predecessors even higher.

Both are so worth the purchase, IMO.

As a side note, I sure do wish that Rockstar would get an HD collection out featuring last gen's GTA games.
